Teaming up with Deadpool seems like a terrible idea on paper. His reputation precedes him – and it's not exactly one that aligns with Uncle Ben’s whole ‘responsibility’ spiel. But at this point, Peter figures ‘what the hell’. It's not like Deadpool could make his life worse at this point. And if Peter finds himself getting a crush on the guy – who is probably straight, and most certainly too old for him to an extent that would have Aunt May turning in her grave – then, well, it’s not really his fault, is it?

Peter never expected to be saved.
It was difficult to endure the fact that he was alive against his will, but more so to endure the guilt that followed. Wade was terrified of losing Peter, the one person he loved above all else, and so he worried more than all others. It was almost worse to deal with this 'worry-Wade' than it was the depression itself.
He could only hope that it would all improve with time, but sometimes hope wasn't enough.
Peter was scared of losing himself.
