“Come to tell me that you wish I had an aneurysm again?” he chuckled, combing his hair rhythmically and repetitively to get the chocolate brown swirl just right. “Hate to break it to ya, but I think I've heard that line before.”

Set in the mid 1960s, James Neutron is a lonely lounge singer with a dream to be the next Einstein and the ability to store his entire life savings in his front pocket. Oftentimes, he's competing with the other vocalists like Liberty Folfax and Cynthia Vortex for the spotlight. They have the voices of songbirds. Him? He's no Bobby Darin or Frank Sinatra, but it puts bread on the table.

Shadow snorts, but he's smiling, so it's fine, "You'll have to get over it, I can handle being stepped on a little. Besides, that's what the patterns are for."
Sonic hums, tries to watch Shadow, up close Sonic can see the brown under the red sheen, and-
Sonic trips over Shadow a little, Shadow clinging to him to hold him up, laughing quietly. Sonic mumbles, "Shut up."
Shadow's voice is low and quiet when he responds, "You can run how fast, without looking at your feet?"
