She was very close to throwing them out for asking so many prying questions at all. Link switched rapidly to bribery at that point, if only to keep their rendezvous, and sat down with a deep sense of unease.
Twilight had been off about the time period they were in, it seemed, and Link hoped that wasn’t going to cause them problems.ETA: Now a three chapter fic.

Lantern-light glinted off of a set of brown-gold eyes, hidden in the darkness of the hole.
There was a moment when Legend expected to see some sort of animal emerge, but as Four swung the lantern closer, what the light revealed was nothing Legend could have ever guessed.
There was a child kneeling in the cramped, dusty space- splattered in mud, dust settled in their tangled hair and eyelashes as they closed their eyes, flinching back against the comparatively bright light of the lantern and raising their hands to cover their grimy face.
Legend knelt by the entrance to the- the fucking hole the monsters had been keeping this kid in, goddesses- and lifted a hand towards them. “Hey, kid? We’re not gonna hurt you, do you want to come out of there?”
OR
Kid!Hyrule has been being used for healing by a band of monsters for years. Then, the Chain shows up, killing the creatures that had been keeping him captive and offering him a hand out of the darkness.
This is the story of how a kid who only remembers being used as a healing item starts to learn how to be a little brother instead.

The hero’s eyes flickered between confusion and surprise. “Why did you just call me–Twilight what’s going on? Why is there blood on your…” His eyes darted towards the bleeding figure on the ground. “Holy Hylia! Time!”
He immediately started towards the Hero of Time, but Twilight quickly stepped in between them.
“Twilight, what’re you doing?” his tone annoyed and rising, “we’ve gotta help Time so put your sword down and let’s…wait–why are your eyes–Twilight why are your eyes red?!”

Guilt because they'd known that Lurelin Village had been facing monster troubles. And sorrow because, looking out over the ruins of a town that had been flourishing not so long ago, it felt as though Wind had lost his own home, too.

The Chain have made their way back to Lurelin in Wild's post-Upheaval world, only to find it infested with monsters. With its citizens displaced and the humble fishing village in shambles, Wind is determined to make things right again, alongside Wild and the others. He intends on taking on the pirate ship anchored in the bay - and pulling out an old ability that he hadn't used in a long time. All the while, he thinks of home, and what he has to return to once this adventure is over.
