Such a thing can only be so easy when stuck co-parenting with someone you barely know but have every reason to hate just the same

    Or, a take on the 'Splinter and Draxum raise the turtles together' AU that allows most of Rise canon to still happen... with a twist :)

    Nearly one year after the Kraang and things have gone back to semi-normal. At least, as normal as could be: Splinter decided he wanted to start enforcing his traditional father role onto his sons. It would have been great--a dream come true, even--if it weren't such strict training that aggravated their chronic issues mixed with Splinter's confusing praise for his sons.

    Raphael, personally, was not gonna let that slide. He raised those boys from the time they were tots and Raph was barely a child himself, to present day where his brothers are his pride and joy. Raph may have made mistakes, but he will not let his brothers receive the same treatment as he did when he was a child--not when they were finally over their father's lack of attention.

    And then, darkness. And warmth. I never believed in a god or an afterlife so I thought this dark void of gentle heat was to be my next eternity.

    Michelangelo has always known that this wasn’t his first rodeo with the game known as Life. However, this New Game Plus involved the added difficulty of him being a mutant turtle with three other very cute mutant turtles for brothers. And oh, there was also the mutant rat man who has been trying to take care of them.

    He may not remember who he was exactly in his past life but, it seems that his bleeding heart and empathy had made it through the reincarnation process. He was going to try his damndest to help his new and unusual family survive.

    But how was he going to do that as a kid?
