“All yours,” Dew says sweetly, rubbing his face into Aeon’s hands like a cat. His voice goes all soft and breathy when he’s like this, eager to give. He has the loveliest voice when it isn’t being used to swear.
Aeon tilts Dew’s head curiously, like he’s examining a foreign specimen. “Really?”
“Yeah.” Dew entertains Aeon’s examining, neck going slack and pliable like a ragdoll. “All for you. You can use me.”
“Use you?” Aeon isn’t too sure about that. The word makes him feel a little uneasy—he shouldn’t be using Dewdrop. If anything, it should be him on that end, gratefully accepting everything and anything Dewdrop deigns to give. “Tell me how.”

Dew is not by nature a timid or shy thing. He has always been a healthy mix of piss and vinegar. Acerbic wit and energy, and thoughtful tenderness in the right circumstances. A sharp tongue but a gentle touch. Fearful or nervous are not descriptors to be used, nothing he’s ever been accused of…and yet, Dew goes cold and his hand tightens around the fistful of blanket as he pulls it closer to himself. An uncharacteristic movement performed by a hand not under his control.

"Aether knew they were held to different standards than other ghouls in the abbey, let alone ghouls as a whole. Still, it didn’t hurt any less when the clergy was replacing half of the people they had let into their pack years prior. It still hurt when they met their new handler, when Copia introduced himself with a shy but real smile and an outstretched hand, seeing them as equals more than subordinates. It was a stark contrast to how he had met Terzo, but then again he had been summoned by the man. Terzo was… he was a good handler, Aether had been topside before being summoned by the clergy, he knew handlers could be cruel to ghouls, seeing them as possessions rather than beings who had free will. Terzo understood that, he understood their needs and wants but also made sure they understood who summoned them, who was in charge and who could send them back. While Terzo had left little to no doubt about that, but now there was no doubt.
Ifrit had been banished, Zephyr was dead, and Terzo… well he was dead too."
