Summary
At the end of the 23rd century, it is a time of great uncertainty in the Federation and beyond.
The Khitomer Peace Accords have been signed between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. There is a very uneasy peace along the Neutral Zone, both the Klingon section and the Romulan.
Klingon Separatists, who don’t recognize the Khitomer Accords, have begun to maraud on both sides, hoping to spark a galaxy-wide war.
Only three years before, a mysterious accident with a mysterious energy field has claimed the life of one of Starfleet’s greatest heroes. An officer who was a witness to that tragedy, as well as at the center of the Enterprise-B’s latest engagement with Klingon separatists, has come home to the border.
To lead one of the small units of small ships that are on the frontlines of a growing cold war. Small ships filled with larger-than-life crewmembers, who are either born to this work, or would desperately rather be exploring the larger galaxy.
Or somewhere in between.

Summary
It is the spring of 2023. Kim Burgess and Maddie Bosch are both dealing with momentous and painful events in their lives in their separate cities. For Kim, she is finally dealing with the remnants of the traumatic events of her abduction and shooting, which came to a head in a blood-filled day on a Chicago subway train, when the trauma threatened to paralyze her. For Maddie, she deals with her own trauma that began with her waking up buried in a makeshift coffin in the Mojave Desert, and continued with doubts about whether her father had something to do with the prison killing of the man who put her in that box.
An opportunity, with the machinations of various of their friends and family, comes for them to take a vacation to celebrate the wedding of a mutual friend and sometime co-worker in Montana. An opportunity for them to reconnect as friends, while they explore their traumas, their memories, and what their families mean to them.
Of course, there will be much more involved as a former RCMP constable and two retired Chicago cops will somehow pull them into a case involving the DEA, the FBI, and a disappearing herd of bison.

Summary
A homeless man’s corpse, with the business card of a sometime friend and ally to Intelligence turns up near Restaurant Row. The investigation, spanning at least a decade and two cities, will embroil Intelligence, as well as ASA Nina Chapman, and three allies in a conspiracy that could cause many deaths on the streets of Chicago and other cities.
Meanwhile, one of those allies, a young woman who babysits and protects Makayla Ward-Burgess, finds herself being pushed out of her department, for reasons she can’t fathom.
The two cases will intertwine, bringing a threat to all involved in both.

Summary

The Dominion War (2373-2375) was the single most destructive conflict in the known history of the Federation, and eventually entangled virtually every major power in the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Quadrants of the Milky Way. Though the UFP and its allies were able to win a decisive victory on the battlefield, that was only the beginning of the long, weary struggle to build a new and better Galaxy.
Luckily, that's what the Federation specializes in.

Summary
