When Dumbledore catches him, the manipulative bastard decided that changing Harry into animal and sending him all but gift wrapped to Voldemort is the best way to get rid of him. What the headmaster didn't take into account was Harry's knack for survival. Summary
“Sokka, I don’t understand—” Zuko gasped, only to have his breath ripped away when a downwind breeze pushed an all-consuming scent into his senses. It was warm, spicy, and unforgivingly needy. He took several steps back but couldn’t bite back the feral snarl that ripped through his teeth.
Zuko pushed his feet into the ground, fighting with the feral Alpha inside to stay in his place. “What the fuck,” he rasped, covering his nose with his arm as if it would help block out the heady scent oozing from Sokka.
“Why do you smell like that?!” he snarled.
The air was filled with their thick pheromones. Sokka finally lifted his head and their eyes met. Zuko swallowed thickly at the sight before him. Sokka’s face was flushed red, icy blue eyes glazed over in desperate need. Leaning against a tree for support, Sokka took several deep breaths before finally responding in a quiet, trembling voice.
“I’m an Omega.”

Summary

Summary
Soulmates were a common occurrence when the Avatar was roaming and bringing balance to the world. Soulmates were the gift the spirits gave to the world. Soulmates meant peaceful days.
But 100 years ago, when the Air Nomads were killed off and the Avatar lost, soulmates became a rarer and rarer fact of life. And now, they are a legend, much like the Avatar.
So when the spirits offer one more pair of Soulmates, the world wonders if this mean the end of the war. If the Avatar is to return.
But the activity means pain for Prince Zuko. If the Avatar returns, and the war ends, the rule of the Fire Nation will be challenged.
For Sokka, the activity doesn't mean much. Soulmate or not, there's a war to fight. People to protect. A father to make proud.
For both, they see it as a cruel joke when they receive their marks.

The only way to know is that soulmates share dreams, share bending, and, most importantly, share their love lines,” she points to the top crease on his hand, where two deep lines run parallel to each other before intertwining with hatches and crosses and connecting finally.
Then it strikes him, her comment about sharing dreams, sharing bending, and it’s like he can feel his inner flame roar to life. The fire between them flares.
“Soulmates are very, very rare, and are known to change the course of the world,” she murmurs, caressing the line. “The last known pair was Sozin and Roku, and it seems the spirits have chosen you.”

Sokka flinches back. Whoaaa, how in Spirits name did Zuko project his voice like that? Sokka didn’t even see him move his lips.
As if he can hear Sokka’s thoughts, Zuko turns his head to look directly at him, eyes bewildered.
And this is where Sokka realises something is very, very wrong.
Two minutes later: “No way!” Sokka shakes his head wildly, just as prince jerkbender across him curses. “I’m soul bonded- To him?! No way! That’s just spirit mumbo-jumbo!!!”
-or, through some freak Spirit accident involving Zhao, the Avatar, and the continuous joke that is both their existence, Sokka and Zuko have been soul-bonded and mentally linked. Neither of them are particularly happy with this.

Separated from Uncle Iroh and with the entire Earth Kingdom looking for him, Zuko has no choice but to return to the place he once called home
Somehow, against all odds, he ends up at the South Pole instead. The spirits really had it out for him, didn't they?
Wounded and stuck, Zuko decides to wait for his injuries to heal before he sets out again to find Uncle Iroh and return to the Fire Nation.
But as the days go by, it's getting harder and harder to want to leave.Series
