Summary
A bright smile spreads across their face. With venom laced on their tongue, Q hisses sweetly, “And what’s your name for the order?”
Something in the way Q speaks rattles Wilbur to his core. He can’t decide if he wants to make a run for it or lay down his life for the diner employee. Static floods his mind, and his hands go limp at his sides.
His brain fights against the walls of his skull, and Wilbur blinks away the haze from behind his eyes. He takes a moment to glance around and ground himself in reality once more. Remembering the question, Wilbur turns back to Q and answers with the most charming smile he can muster, “Ah, I don’t really remember. Call me what you like.”
OR
Wilbur is a vampire and forgets he's a vampire. Well, actually, he forgets who he is.
Quackity is a fae who's more than a little curious about this weird "mortal" who doesn't know his own name.

The two biggest organized crime groups did not get along, to say the least. The Las Nevadas Mafia and the Syndicate were far from the best of friends. But, through a tangled web of corrupt police chiefs, blackmail, and an unaccounted murder, the new bosses of each group, Quackity and Wilbur, are forced to work together to keep both of their respective mobs out of prison. "That depends," Wilbur replied, his smile falling. "What is it?"

At this, Quackity made a strangled hissing noise, swatting at Wilbur's leg. His pupils narrowed. “No. Fucking. Alphas.”
“No alphas?” Wilbur echoed uncomprehendingly.
“I'm not joking. If you bring an alpha in here, Wilbur, I swear to god I’ll kill you.”
“Alright, I got it. No alphas.” Wilbur put his hands up in a gesture of surrender. “You know this is going to take a lot longer without one, right?”
Quackity glared daggers at him. “I don't give a shit.”
Wilbur sighed and made a mental note to message Tommy and Phil that he’d be busy for the next few days. “Okay, then what do you need from me? Should I find you some more blankets, or–”
“Wilbur,” Quackity said, “I don't need more blankets. You know me. Connect the fucking dots.”

Wilbur had helped out with plenty of mating cycles in his day. He knew his role as a beta by heart. So when Quackity called on him to help with his heat, Wilbur thought he knew exactly what to expect.

As they fight to find a way to make their relationship last through these everyday struggles, a bigger threat looms in the distance. Something that might bring an end to their whole life in Bloomwich.
