There's something about this girl, like looking in a funhouse mirror a third of his size. “Oi, kid,” Toji says. “It’s you, isn’t it?”
The girl glares daggers at him from behind a pair of red-rimmed glasses too big for her tiny face. She’s looking at him like he’s totally crazy, which isn’t entirely untrue. “Huh? Who the heck are you?”
In lieu of answering, he asks, “What’s your name?”
The girl scowls. “Maki.”
“Maki,” he repeats, and it’s like a missing piece of his soul falls back into place. The record of his life before he fought the Six-Eyes brat is a long, impossibly white scroll of nothing -- but written on it in faint letters is the name of a child, a child with a delicate name that brushed the heavens, spun a prayer into letters; a name that began with an M, and it ended in i, too.
“Maki,” he says again. “I think you’re my daughter.”

Summary
Toji never intended to have so many kids. He had initially thought that once Megumi and Touya were born, then that was it. But he could never seem to resist the winter goddess that is his wife.
As for Himura Rei, she was resigned to marrying Enji at 18. But getting into a quirk mishap after meeting her supposed husband-to-be and ending up in a world with cursed spirits wasn't part of the plan.
But the muscular man with a scar on his lip turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

She'd spoken English on the assumption that most people in the room would likely understand it, but when the man turned it became apparent that he was Japanese. Haruhi knew this because she recognised his face. It was the face of Japan's ace skater, Katsuki Yuuri.
"K-K-Katsuki Yuuri-senshu!" Haruhi clapped her hand over her mouth, feeling the blood rise to her face.
"Ah," said Katsuki. He was different off the ice. His spectacles reduced the impact of his eyes, and the shape of his face was somehow softer, less distinctive. "Do I know you?"
Yuuri makes a friend. Viktor hates it.

In normal circumstances, L would assume his current belief that he is living out some sort of time loop of his own death is merely a bout of insanity that he should sleep or eat or work off. Again, if these were normal circumstances, not preceded by the proof of Shinigami and a notebook that kills people.
(L lives the day of his death over and over again and attempts to escape the loop.)

In the soft darkness, L is the same as he was when stretching like a cat on that appetising grass, under the ocean wind and the scorching sun.
The windows are rattling. With his eyes closed, L rumbles, “These are storm windows, Light… They can handle it…”
Light still asks; voice hoarse and as unbothered as he can manage, “Is it supposed to rain this much?”
