One of the hardest parts of working in the healthcare system was realising how no one had fought for her when she was a child. No one had protected her. So Trinity would be damned if she let this patient go without helping her, even if it costs her everything.
Or,
Trinity has a very bad, no good day and has very complicated feelings around the fact no one seems willing to give up on her -

Summary
Emery Walsh returns from vacation to find that PTMC's emergency department has a brand new attending physician: charismatic, cooperative, and with a voice sweet like honey that Emery can't seem to get out of her mind, no matter how much she despises sweet things. She finds herself drifting towards the ED before and after her shift, if just to catch a short conversation with the new attending.
Baran Al-Hashimi is trying to carve her place in the emergency department as a reliable and caring attending, which means cooperation with all of the staff. Though everyone warns her that the complex attending surgeon is a bit angry and tough to handle, Baran can't help but look forward to seeing her for the few minutes she can every day. And Baran just can't believe what everyone says about Emery, because Emery is as pleasant as ever around Baran.

Summary
After her father’s sudden death, Trinity returns to her childhood home in Boulder, Colorado; a place of manicured lawns, suppressed trauma, and the conservative family she has long kept at arm’s length. Yolanda accompanies but only after agreeing to Trinity's terms that they pose as friends, forcing their long-term relationship to become a secret. What begins as a brief trip to organize a funeral stretches into an indefinite stay when Trinity’s brothers guilt her into staying behind to care for their mother. As the days turn into weeks, Yolanda remains at Trinity’s side, but their relationship begins to feel the effects of being tucked away for too long. As Trinity's ghosts from Boulder grow increasingly relentless, she and Yolanda must confront whether their relationship can survive the turbulence, or if they should have abandoned ship long ago.
or
Trinity brings Yolanda to her childhood home with the requirement that they hide their relationship from her conservative family. The ramifications of that choice quickly make themselves clear as their relationship is challenged.
It's "Happiest Season" but in the summer, with a death in the family, a (somewhat) healthier relationship, and no Aubrey Plaza.

"No."
"Yolanda, you can't keep everything under control, that's unhealt—"
"I can, and I will."
"No you can't."
Yolanda scoffs at that. Miriam raises her eyebrow challenging, and Yolanda shifts uncomfortably under her gaze, knowing that look. The look of 'you are so fucking wrong and I'll tell you why' , and she's already dreading what will come out of her therapist mouth.
"You say you can control everything, but that's how you lost Trinity the first time."

Trinity Santos wasn't sad all the time. But when she was, she was very sad. Yolanda Garcia helped with that. But only when she was horny. Will they ever break out of 'keeping it casual' or is Trinity doomed to keep hiding her ever-growing feelings she would never admit were there?

Summary
My VERY emotional reaction to ep 10.
After being increasingly disregarded throughout the shift that was the anniversary of her best friends suicide, Trinity feels the last straw snap inside of her attempts suicide after arriving to an empty home with an empty heart: Her last coherent thought, before the dark became total, was something that felt like relief—a forbidden pleasure she found in following Helen's footsteps into darkness.
Garcia is the one to find her.

this is my attempt to reconcile the hurt/comfort Garcia–has–a–heart–of–gold–but–is–really–reactionary dynamic I've been envisioning with what we saw tonight. with a bunch of angst bc im really pissed off at garcia lol

Summary
The first week back is an endless parade of people checking on her. Garcia corners Trinity in the stairwell to tell her how worried she was with a very un-Garcia-like sincerity; Mel keeps shooting looks at her out of the corner of her eye; Victoria asks her if she’s ok at least three times a day; and even freaking Langdon finds her in the ambulance bay and tells her how sorry he is that it happened to her. Trinity tells him to fuck off, because it’s easier than admitting that she hates that she is again a person who has had a capital S Something happen to them.
OR
A workday goes south. Trinity copes with the aftermath.

Summary
“Why are you with Dr. Garcia,” she asks quietly, “if she makes you feel like this?”
Santos lets out a bitter laugh. “I’m not with her. Not really.” A pause, then a shrug that feels like it costs her something. “I’m just a sex toy she uses when she’s bored.”
The words hang there, ugly and too honest.
Dr. Al Hashimi doesn’t flinch. “Why do you let her?”
Santos blinks, caught off guard. No one has ever asked her that.
“It’s what I deserve.”
“That’s not true.”

Summary
Trinity doesn’t think the permanent addition of Dr. Al-Hashimi will change much about the ED. That changes after an impromptu offer to watch her kid for the evening. One night leads to another, which bleeds into a familiarity Trinity hadn’t known she was missing.
Or,
Trinity falls hard. She doesn’t know how to navigate it.

Summary
“...you wouldn’t want to repeat your R2 year again because of this.”
And that’s what started all the emails. The pressure of not falling behind, of not failing, of wanting to get on Dr. Al-Hashimi’s good side.
—-With the pressure and threat of repeating R2, Trinity Santos starts charting at home after hours and emailing Baran Al-Hashimi to ask for help. They start out strictly professional and slowly bleed into something else. Emailing Baran becomes Trinity’s favorite part of her week.
**sort of Email SMAU. Loosely based on a real slow burn email flirtation I had with a superior many years ago.

Summary
It’s not where you come from, it’s where you belong.
The tires squealed as the car came to a stop. Trinity could feel her heartbeat get quicker. It wasn’t her first time in a foster home, but every time brought the feeling of walking into a viper's den.
Or: Trinity moves into a new foster home, the two dads: Michael "Robby" Robinavitch and Jack Abbot.
