Summary
I'm still having trouble continuing Madness, so instead I will post a treat for readers who didn't like how "A Case of Identity" ended. This is an alternate version of how Mary Morstan decides she must intervene for Mary Sutherland, while Holmes remains jealous of Watson's marriage. This was originally part of a different fanfic of mine involving Helen Stoner of "The Speckled Band", but ultimately I decided to cut it, because it makes Mary Watson feel unrealistic and makes Holmes feel too angsty. But it is enjoyable to see Mary prove that she isn't a third wheel and can certainly be "most useful" to a detective.

Summary
Set in 1895 during the Oscar Wilde scandal. An asexual Holmes realizes that Watson is in love with him, and because he's a Victorian, he thinks Watson is ill and/or insane to have such feelings. However, Holmes doesn't reject Watson, because he feels guilty about faking his death. He confesses that he loves Watson and will do anything to protect him from scandal or prison. Watson agrees to see a doctor to "cure" his madness.

Summary
After receiving free Swan Lake tickets, Holmes takes Watson to the ballet for a romantic night, but things don't go according to plan. A Russian ballerina makes an indecent proposal to Holmes, forcing him to lie about his relationship with Watson to escape. Watson is furious when he finds out and rushes home. They fight, but have a happier resolution than in the movie.

So apparently, Michael is into scuba diving, and Gob goes scuba diving while eating Captain Crunch. Here's a little alternate scene from season 5, at the secret little beach cottage. We also get memories of a past underage flirtation Michael had with Gob in the early 1980s. They were about 12 and 14.

Summary
This is a complete collection of episode reviews for the Sherlock Holmes series filmed and broadcast between 1984 and 1995 by Granada Television (now ITV Granada) starring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and David Burke & Edward Hardwicke as Dr. Watson. I re/watched the whole series in the summer of 2017, because the entire world was on fire and I needed a diversion. I have been reading Holmes and Watson as a couple for at least 30 years now, so that perspective informs all of these reviews. There are occasional comparisons to what happened with Sherlock. Also, I usually discuss the canon story on which any given episode was based. As with all the other rewatches posted here, I am critical, but always from a place of love.
All of these reviews were first posted to tumblr and will be cross-posted more or less intact. There may have to be slight adjustments made depending on whether AO3 treats the GIFs properly. Enjoy them again, or for the first time!

Summary
This is an ongoing series of stories which reimagines the iconic relationship shared between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as a deeply committed, if imperfect, romance. While never explicitly stated, it is heavily implied that Holmes is autistic and leans to the asexual side of the sexuality spectrum. I wanted to make smut that depicted a realistic and compassionate version of sexual intimacy for people with sensory issues and/or non-traditional patterns and preferences. Not only am I autistic myself, but I absolutely detest - down to the very marrow of my bones - the utterly dehumanizing, violent, mechanical, unenjoyable, misogynistic mess that is internet porn. I crave intimacy and authenticity, and It is my hope that these stories are loving, accepting, kind, and intimate, while still being sexy and fun to read.

Summary
It's early in Mary's marriage to Dr. Watson, and she's helping him with his medical practice. She takes an interest in one of Watson's young women patients, and suggests that he consult with Holmes about finding answers to some of her pressing questions. Watson does--and everyone learns, or doesn't learn, more than they bargained for.
This story revisits the rather alarming facts of the ACD canon story "A Case of Identity," in which the villain romances his adult stepdaughter in order to prevent her from marrying someone else. Chronologically, it takes place between "One Page is Missing" and "O Paradis." I've placed it later than that in the series because it was written after the series was complete. Among other things it reveals how Mary Morstan came up with the idea for the Society for the Protection of Single Ladies.
One of the things being investigated here is just how far Mr. Windibank's fake courtship went. However, while sex is often implied or referenced in this story, it is never depicted.
