Summary

Years later, after being forcefully separated due to the orphanage burning down in suspicious circumstances, Philza finds them again. One by one. They might not want a family, but they desperately need it. And he will love them, through the blood and the tears.
Each part can be read as a standalone with minimum spoilers. I do recommend reading Pandora before I've been waiting though.

“Nothing is ever that easy.” Tommy frowned at him, tilting his head the other direction as he watched the other.
“It is here,” Tommy uttered quietly. “All they want is to protect you, protect us.” Tommy informed him. All he could think about was once feeling hunger every night, and being so cold that he wondered if he was dying. Now, he never had to worry about that.
And he wouldn’t, ever again.

Tommy Innes had always wanted to be an astronaut, to see space. He would tell anyone who would listen that he was going to be the first to discover aliens.
You can imagine his disappointment when the news came out that aliens had found them first.
And you can imagine his surprise when the government swoops him up and he's told that he's going to be a part of the first wave of children sent out into space to get schooling around the universe.
He doesn't know what to think, but it's not like it can go much worse than his life on Earth, right?

The one thing they never tell you about space travel is how boring it is.
Tommy doesn't think he's ever been forced to sit still for this long, not at school. Not even the car rides between houses felt as long as this.
Being strapped down to the small, uncomfortable metal chair in the transportation pod was going to be in his nightmares, he was sure of it. It was also far too cold, did they not have heaters in these damn things?

There’s no sound for a while, then he hears shuffling and soon enough the door is sliding open. It stops half way, a face peaking out. They look at Phil and him for a few seconds. Tommy’s eyes widen as this ‘Ranboo’ person steps out from behind the door. Flowy clothes nowhere to be seen, revealing a set of purple eyes and split skin. Half white and half pitch black. Like a black hole eating up a star.
An Endarian.
“H-hi.” The undoing of his life says.
Or: Tommy, a very humanly human, hides this fact by pretending to be an Endarian. His plan is stomped on and thrown in a lava pit when he meets his new roommate, Ranboo.

From behind the espresso machine, Tubbo peeked out with a sheepish grin, holding what looked suspiciously like a plastic death scythe. “Or we’re wrong. Again.”

It’s just that Techno is really, really nice.
Sure, sometimes he smiles and his teeth gleam a little strangely in the light. Sometimes Tommy thinks in a voice that’s not his own, I never, ever want to leave, and then he blinks, the feeling of Techno’s hand carding through his hair a warm and solid presence.
Techno is gentle in a way no one else has been with Tommy in a long, long time.

Summary
Thomas Theseus Innit was only 5 when the zombie apocalypse started, 7 when his parents both lost their lives to the weirdly smart and athletic zombies.
Now here he was; after years of surviving on his own, wondering if his decision to go into this strangely abandoned city was a good one.
Especially since the place holds a few walkers way too sentient for his liking, and why won’t they leave him alone?
OrHis awakening wasn't so peaceful.
The first thing he noticed was that burning feeling that clung to his skin the moment he entered the city.
Like he was being watched.
Then he realized how dark it was. It must still be night, but the soft moonlight that acted as his only comfort was now gone, replaced by a tall shadow.
Tommy was confused for a moment, until the shadow moved.
He was up in an instant, whipping around to look at the bedroom window behind him.
There, squating on the apartment buildings fire escape, was a zombie.
It was right up against the glass, rapid breath causing it to fog from its proximity.
It’s blood shot eyes staring right at him.
