There's several beats of silence that follow once that question leaves him. It's deafening, just how quiet the room gets. Jayce turns from his seat while Mel gives him something of a thousand yard stare. There's a twitch below her eye. “...Why?” Unsurprisingly, her voice is drawn much tighter than it was previously.
Viktor avoids both of their looks, clearing his throat again as he goes back to spinning his pencil. “I'm simply curious.”
It's a bold faced lie.

Summary
The Machine Herald is captured by Piltover after a failed attack on the bridge, and he is mortally wounded in the process. Jayce must risk everything to save him and repair the damage done, racing against the clock as Piltover hunts him down for treason, but the history between them complicates things. Despite his claims that his actions are no longer dictated by emotion, Viktor is still harboring anger and hatred for his exile in the wake of Jinx's attack, and blames Jayce for what happened. He nodded, still wondering about the keychain, the one with Wilbur’s picture in it he found the day before. “That makes sense. Welcome to the mall. Also, sorry about toppling your stand yesterday.”

One of the best slow burns ever...
I knew it had to be Dream, but finding out the how and why, seeing how Tommy put the pieces together...
GAH, the way Dream talked to Tommy gave me the ick DAY ONE! Its always everyone else being wierd, or rather annoyed by Tommy, but not Dream, no he had empathy, je truly liked Tommy. BITCH! Driving him home, buying him food AND THEN USING THIS "HELP" TO ARGUE TOMMY SHOULD TRUST HIM MORE!
Gifting him his shoes was the tip of the ice berg and I never eben made the connections with the tracker...Honestly, this is such a great mystery even if anyone who knows DSMP can guess its Dream. There are still so many factors of the how and why, that make this such a great mystery, not to mention watching Tommy connect the dots. Him suspecting multiple people....
U can truly feel how the stalking is messing with his head, not to mention his non-existant selfworth. At times its a bit too angsty for my taste, but all in all it just fits.
Such a sad story man :( So glad Sam adopted him <3

Part of this was his ‘open door’ policy. Quite simply if anyone had a problem they could always go to Phil
It was used a lot more than Phil expected, but he didn’t mind. It was one of the more enjoyable parts of his job. He liked to hear about his employees, and help them when he could. Often people came to him to just rant. Sometimes they came with a small problem he actually could help with
The most notable time his policy was used was when one of his villains, a girl who could control plants, came into his office completely delirious. She ranted for thirty whole minutes about how cruelly Venus fly traps were treated. Phil quickly ushered her to his clinic. It later turned out that she merely took a NyQuil PM
But yes, Rosebud accidentally becoming high on nyquil was currently the most memorable use of the policy
At least, until tonight. When Tubbo came into Phils office, a serious expression on his young face and blood stains on his clothes
OR-Tubbo rescues Tommy and brings him to the one person he can trust

He closes his eyes, then snaps them open almost right away at hearing a quiet woosh of air nearby. There’s movement in the corner of his vision, someone on their dragon, and Tommy’s lips curl into a scowl, annoyance flaring through him.

He finds that his brother has been bit.
(Or, zombie apocalypse AU in which Techno and Wilbur have grown dependent on each other through survival. Techno ends up getting bit, and as a result, he leaves Wilbur in a safe town so he won't put him at risk.
Wilbur doesn't agree with being left behind. They will stay together, through everything. Even something like this.)

Too many responses to count flashed through Tommy’s mind. This man was going to kill him, there was no denying that. No denying that Tommy had been stupid. That mantra had gotten him through the night, sure, but it wasn’t true, and now he was going to die.
In the forest, he didn't know what was coming to kill him. Now, though, he knew it would be this man, with his soft cloak and softer eyes, Tommy wasn’t so afraid.
