Cecil feels his stomach clench in apprehension as he looks at the Mark through grainy security footage. Hands behind his head and expression perfectly calm surrounded by reanimen.
No yelling, no cocky smirk, no crazy eyes.
There's also none of the anxiety or anger or any of the complicated array of emotions that Cecil is used to seeing on those features. Just the sort of calm confidence that stems from the complete and utter certainty that he’s the strongest person in the room. Cecil is intimately familiar with that look, since he used to see it all the time.
On Nolan’s face.
Or: MasklessMark isn't evil and he wants to stay. Complicated, heart-wrenching, and sometimes funny things result from this choice.

House was bisexual, no shit. He’d been aware ever since his teen years, but he’d never once found himself attracted to his best friend Wilson (except for in dreams or when he was super drunk and/or high but that definitely didn’t count).
It wasn’t until “The Tie Incident of 2006” and the weird dream that followed it that House realized he might’ve been wrong and that he might’ve felt more for his friend than he initially thought.

“I love you, Pete,” Ray shouted over the din of the crowd.
Peter registered how sweet it was that Ray wanted those to be his last words, but only partially. He was too busy planning a way to make sure they weren’t.
A gun was levelled at Ray’s head. Peter threw himself fully on top of him.
“Wait,” he screamed, so desperate to be heard. By the gunman. By the crowd. By the Major. “Wait! I’ve won, right? Three warnings, he’s a dead man, I’ve won?”
The crowd quietened a little. He had the Major’s attention.
“I want my wish!” Peter continued. “I’ve won, you have to grant me one wish. Don’t shoot Ray.”

Pete tries his luck at cashing in on his wish a little early. As a result he gets a home and a family and a boyfriend who's recovering from two gunshot wounds to the stomach.
*The first ~800 words of this fic are fairly movie-specific, but I don't see why die-hard book lovers wouldn't enjoy the latter part of the fic if they're willing to stick it out.

Nearly 3 years later, Troy is finally due to return to Colorado, and the study group has planned to gather at Greendale for the first time since their split.
This story details the aftermath of Abed and Annie's departure, and the ways Jeff, Britta, and the others deal with the grief of moving on from their so-called golden age, ultimately coming back together to face their new reality.
