Zuko had met his prince charming and was content to live his happily ever after, but reality came crashing down on him when a vicious media cycle decides his life is their meal ticket. His face is on the cover of every trashy tabloid in the city and every newscaster has his name on their lips. The stress would be more than he could handle if he didn't have his boyfriend's hoodies to steal and look cute in. And really... It's not like things could get any worse... Right?

Summary
Zuko wants to save the turtleducks and Ozai owns an oil company, while Toph's family owns a power company as well, but theirs is trying to go green. The simple fix is to steal the secrets of lightning bending and train some new employees for Toph. And if a business trip to the Southern Water Tribe results in Zuko getting a boyfriend then that is the cherry on top.
Of course, nothing is ever that simple and Sokka and Zuko are so far from being on the same page they might as well be reading entirely separate books.

Summary
We have science-focused, hyper-rational Sokka who has always struggled with love in the past (Suki, Yue, Jet) because of his need to define and prove and ground in the tangible in order to believe something, even the fact that someone loves him (or that what he feels for them is love).
But here comes years’ worth of utterly unbelievable, completely incomprehensible, basically an inside joke that has taken on literal actual life, with literally everyone he knows being absolutely convinced that this flip phone is fucking sentient. And in the process of learning to just roll with it, Sokka also learns to just roll with his feelings too, and that it might be okay that love isn’t a thing that he can touch and feel if it’s a thing that he can believe in.
Or in short Zuko's phone is haunted and Sokka doesn't believe in ghosts.

Jaskier swallows hard, bringing one knee up and pressing his forehead to it, his arms wrapped loosely around his leg. His voice, when he finally speaks, is soft, pain clear in his tone.
“Don’t give me hope.” He tells her, swallowing hard after he says it. “I can’t do it again.” He turns his head to look at her from beneath his fringe. “I spent decades hoping, Yennefer. And it got me fuck all besides the dressing down of my life on top of that fucking mountain and a fun little session of torture later.”
(Jaskier hoped that he could have more with Geralt once, and all it had gotten him was abandoned on a mountain. He won’t make the same mistake twice.)
