Tommy leaves The Dream Team the same way he left Sam’s workshop and the same way he left his mom. With love and promises to call, and the knowledge that they can’t come to help. They’re too important to the war effort. But he has the contacts of a hundred Human criminals memorized forwards and backward. He’ll be okay.
Probably.
In the end, it's frighteningly easy to sneak aboard The Angel of Death. It probably wouldn’t be if Tommy didn’t have the teachers and family he does, so he’ll give them a pass this time. Once he’s integrated, though, he’s going to give their security a massive overhaul because he is a little insulted at how effortlessly he got in.

“My gold.” Techno spoke, thousands of voices echoing in his words. Whispering and chattering. His calloused hand reaching up, dragging along the blood that was dripping from Tommy’s neck. Dripping down and burning away in the flames consuming the roots that held him.
The same hand that had fed him and given him shelter, as involuntary as it had been, was gently placed at the back of his skull. Techno’s thumb pulling across the golden earring that now felt like an anchor dragging him below the surface of a pool of magma.
Wearing Techno’s face, the Blood God grinned at him.
Tommy did not regret punching him.

“And everyone is so old,” Tubbo complains. Somehow, without them knowing about it, Tubbo’s managed to swipe a waffle and is chewing on it happily. Sapnap stifles a laugh. “Well, not everyone, I guess- the kid in our room is our age, I think. He might be younger.”
Wilbur perks up. “Does he ice skate?”
“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."
or, Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?

"And you," his outer edges flash once; twice, lighting up her veil and sending the souls scattering across it into stillness with a breathless hush. "Born from the seventh star of Corona Borealis."
The pressure builds and builds and builds. He doesn't think he can take much more of it. His core will collapse.
"Go, Theseus," his vision whites out as his core shrinks under the pressure. "Find our family." It explodes outwards, into millions of tiny little pieces, and his vision goes white. Death closes her hands around him, gathering the stunned, fractured bits of him into one place, and he knows no more.

However, that changes in due time.

“Uh— Phil?” The man calls over his shoulder, golden eyes never leaving Tommy’s face, “I need your help over here.”
Tommy bares his teeth, wings fluttering threateningly. He doesn’t want the man to get help, he wants him to go away.
Another man steps into view. This one is short and blonde, with wings a hundred times bigger than Tommy’s, and he’s dressed just as nice as the first man. He hasn’t seen Tommy yet; he’s looking at the big pink one. Mouth open like he’s going to speak.
Tommy hisses again, louder this time. And the man's head snaps towards him— which doesn’t scare Tommy. He doesn’t shrink back, doesn’t try to tuck away his wings with a whine. Because he’s big. He’s big and scary; nothing is scarier than him and he knows it, because he says it.
“Oh,” The man says softly, expression falling at his eyes dart across Tommy’s face. “Oh, mate.”

Thankfully, even with all the hurt feelings and hatred brewing between them, their family have an agreement and an understanding when it comes to this.
