Biting his bottom lip, he leaned over the edge of the balcony, closing his eyes and drinking in the quiet sounds of the city on a weekday below. Not too far from here there was a public smoking area, and he could pick up on trace whiffs. It was faint and unsatisfying, but better than nothing. The diluted waft of secondhand smoke made him think of Kuji again, tobacco scent leaking out from his off limits office, an unseen hint of human life alongside his insistent keyboard clacking.
Kuji, Kuji, Kuji, it all came back to Kuji, whether he was craving a cigarette or sex.

Kuji’s father was quiet.
He supposed most older people were, at least at a certain point. Their ability and energy to make noise dwindled with age, until one day...
But his father especially so.
He was noisy at the best of times, obnoxious at worst. Chatting to himself while he did research, yelling from the garden as he raked leaves. There was nowhere Kuji would go while the man was there and not hear some sort of commotion.

Summary
Jolting awake, the world returned to him abruptly, light of the living room still harsh against his eyes despite how dim they kept it. Blinking, he swiped at his eyes with an open palm, turning his head back and forth to take stock of his surroundings. A dull ache crept up his spine from falling asleep sitting up and with his head back.
“Ah, I fell asleep...” he mumbled, rolling his neck and stretching his ankles. Shifting around, there was a heavy weight on his shoulder. Casting his glance aside, he found the culprit immediately; one Yabuki Kenji, curled into his side and sleeping soundly. His glasses were pushed up his forehead, and his bangs were all mussed.
Ah.
They fall asleep on the couch because they're old and in love.

Summary
What happens after the kiss in the car.
Words weren't needed as he dove back in for another kiss, greedy and eager. Kuji’s hands slipped past his pants and underwear to massage his rear, the same hands which spent all day translating the words of others, molding and loving and caring for them until they became something new and beautiful yet possessing the same meaning to people halfway across the world from where they were written. In the same way, he would remake Azuma, fucking him into the morning, creating a new man with his face and name, satisfied and placated, worries and fears left behind.
His palms were cool against Azuma’s hot skin, and he pressed into the touch, arching his back to do so without breaking their frantic kiss. Parting with an audible smack of lips, Azuma panted into Kuji’s agape mouth, their lidded gazes locked in inscrutable conversation. There was a depth of expression in Kuji’s eyes he could never parse, not eight years ago and not now, something unsaid yet obvious, an open secret that Azuma only knew existed but had no other knowledge of. It scared and enticed him all at once.
He didn’t want to know.
He wanted nothing else but to know.

Summary
Hardly anyone smoked anymore these days, so it wasn’t really a rare occurrence for it to be just the two of them in there. Usually, they coexisted in silence; sometimes amicably, sometimes tensely, but always without a word. Azuma clearly expected it to be the same now, even despite the state he saw Kuji in earlier that day.
Leaning against the other wall and making a point of looking away, Azuma rummaged around in his pocket for his own pack and lighter. Tapping the box on his forearm, a cigarette popped out, which he stretched his neck down to pull into his mouth with his teeth. Kuji gulped thickly, jealous of both of Azuma for being able to smoke, and the cigarette for being between Azuma’s lips.
Kuji gets bad news and runs out of lighter fluid to boot. Azuma helps with both.

The vampire’s attempt at seeming unaffected made Togawa’s heart ache. Anyone could see that Nozue was restraining himself — his eyes kept shifting between Togawa’s wrists and neck, and when he wasn’t licking his lips, his mouth hung open, as if trying to get a taste of the blood from its scent alone.
Togawa lowered the paper towel from his nose, a motion that immediately caught Nozue’s attention. Despite the considerable amount of time that had already passed, the flow hadn’t stopped yet, the fresh trickles of blood cold against Togawa’s chin. He raised an eyebrow, "You’re hungry, aren’t you?"
Of course he was. He hadn't eaten in three weeks.
Nozue gulped, his eyes transfixed on Togawa’s lips, "I'm fine."
OR: Togawa gets a nosebleed. Nozue is hungry. They do something about both things.

Imagining what Aresh’s and Seiichirou’s first time could have been like if it wasn’t fade to black and we got some smut.
“Open your mouth,” Aresh said tersely as he swiped his thumb over the otherworlder’s oddly plump lower lip.The dazed expression on his face remained even as Aresh coaxed a kiss out of him. He plunged his tongue even deeper into the otherworlder’s mouth. It was like a furnace as the otherworlder’s sluggish tongue slid against his own. Realistically, Aresh knew the more contact they had the better so he encouraged the mutual exploration.
When Aresh pulled back the otherworlder only stared at him with lips now a little more plump and a lot more wet. His eyes were doe-like and slick, incredibly vulnerable. Aresh’s heart panged.
“We’ll have to do much more than this,” Aresh said in an effort to comfort him.
The otherworlder nodded dutifully. As if he was a penitent soldier or a hopeless martyr. Aresh knew he was saving the man’s life but he felt vile. If he could at least bring the otherworlder some pleasure then this wouldn’t have to be so painful.
