The Candle is gone, Alma herself now has a Gift, as do Felix and Agustin. Alma shows them a tablet from the very first vision Bruno had the day the Gifts came back. Apparently, Mirabel is the new source of the magic. The new Candle, to speak plainly. Mirabel doesn't understand, and most of all, can't accept it. She just wants to be treated equally, not special or unspecial. Now she has to deal with deciding what Gift to give Mariano when he marries Dolores in a week, along with her own inferiority complex, telling her nothing will ever be good enough.
Last chapter: The Madrigals deal with a loss. They were prepared, but it still hurt.
