Summary
Really, it was supposed to be the perfect place to hide out for the night. With an Arkham breakout going on and him already nursing injuries it wasn't like he would be out and about anyway, and it wasn't like Dick ever used this particular safehouse so there was little chance Nightwing would run across the still unknown but dangerous Red Hood. Honestly, Jason was somewhat impressed he still had it, and that the spare key was right where Dick had promised a young robin he didn't even like.
He was less impressed to find out that he was wrong, and that Dick did still use this safehouse. He was even less impressed to find out that the safehouse was more to hide from his family and friends.

Jason was fast asleep in his bed. That was the problem. Laid out, flat on his back, snoring softly. His Little Wing, not so little anymore. But still peaceful in sleep. Dick smiles down at him.
It was lucky for Jason that Dick showed up when he did. He hadn't been following him. Really. He just happened to end up being the closest when Jason's distress signal alerted Oracle that his take down of a drug ring had gone sideways. He'd been visiting Tim and Damian, that was the reason he was out patrolling in Gotham instead of at home in Bludhaven. The only reason.
And, seriously, lucky for Jason. He'd busted in to find him facedown on a dirty warehouse floor, tranqed with enough sedative to take down a horse, and a bunch of Penguin's thugs looming over him like they weren't quite sure what to do with him. Clearly, they hadn't expected to get that far.

He opens the door to the scent of sweet life and fear. Even after all this time, his precious bird's fear always betrays him. Jason lays in bed, a sheet covering his bare lower half. His eyes are closed, and his chest rises and falls in a steady rhythm. Practiced. Convincing enough, if it had been a human stalking toward his bedside, sinking so softly to the mattress that it doesn't even dip under his weight.
He can fake the breathing of sleep. He can fake the stillness of sleep. But he can't fake the hummingbird flutter of his heart. The scent of fear as his blood pumps through his veins.

Dick finds a human-sized doll in the Batcave that looks just like Jason. It’s wearing Jason’s clothes, or what looks like Jason’s clothes. It has Jason's short black hair, Jason's baby face, and the graceful length of Jason's body. If Jason were a life-sized doll, this is exactly what he would look like.
The strangest part, Dick thinks a little uneasily, is that no one has seen the real Jason for a while now. That can't be a coincidence, can it?
Bruce doesn’t want to tell Dick where he got the doll or how it was made. But if you want it, he says, you can take it home and use it as you wish.
So that’s exactly what Dick does.

Summary
During a routine patrol, Jason and Dick cross paths with a magic user who doesn’t fully control his abilities. The encounter spirals quickly, and Jason takes the full force of the spell.
When the magic settles, Jason isn’t injured but he’s fifteen again.
Physically and mentally reverted, he has no memory of the years that followed not his death, not his resurrection, not the slow and painful road back to some fragile reconciliation with his family.
Dick, already injured, is left managing the fallout. He has to get Jason back to the Batcave without making things worse. But the boy beside him is wary. Dick looks too old. Too unfamiliar. And yet… not entirely.
There’s something about him that feels known, even if Jason can’t place it.
Suspicion wars with instinct.
In the end, Jason agrees to go... reluctantly.
On the way back, Dick contacts Oracle and asks her to warn Bruce before they arrive.
Because the timing couldn’t be worse.
It’s April 27th.
The anniversary of Jason’s death.
