What happens when the only one in the world who can help you, is the same one who wants you dead?

In a universe where the first one to find himself alone with a vampire is Avid, how would this have turned his fate, and what about his turn?
When this story begins, no one has been turned as of yet and the vampires are still well hidden and snug in the community, when Owen decides to hold a town meeting to gain sympathy and discredit Avid. Avid runs away and finds himself at the castle ruins… and maybe, just maybe those ruins look extra ominous this particular day.

Louis is old, and desperately lonely - but that's fine, and expected. He chose to leave his coven, after all, and he enjoys leading. He doesn't need anything else, shouldn't long for things he can't have. He's busy, and occupied, and chooses to be content. Happiness is irrelevant, after all... except when it comes to the diseased lumberjack he's met. He's kind and funny, and smart as a whip in a way that utterly astounds Louis - and he doesn't deserve the life he's been dealt.
Louis would never dream of being so utterly illogical for himself... but Owen needs help, and if he chose not to offer that when he could fix it all?

Summary
Owen had one mission. Get him and Louis as far from Oakhurst as possible, hopefully finding food and medicine along the way.
He was not prepared for the Coven that had settled down in the area while they were both asleep.
Nor was he prepared for the Coven to not let him and Louis stumble off on their own.

Or, The Coven takes one look at Owen and Louis, asks "is anyone going to adopt them", and then doesn't wait for an answer.

Summary
Louis remembered screams, loud, piercing, and broken. He remembered lights of orange and yellow, he remembered how they danced in his vision, how they enveloped him in warmth.
But that warmth never stopped growing.
Flames. He was being burned to the bone.
Something in his brain finally snapped awake. He felt a heavy weight on his chest as layers of dirt and soil kept him buried, keeping him from escaping.
He took a clawed hand to the space above him and began to dig, if he kept going he had to find his way back, right?
He needed to get back, back to his town. Owen was still there with the townsfolk, enduring the same cruel fate as he had.
OR
Louis is alive but instead of finding Owen and his angry town, it's been 200 years and a new group has entered Oakhurst to find a curse that won't let them go and a monster roaming the forest beyond town walls.

Summary
In search of a bloodless end to the war, impossible as it may be, the Cure seems to offer an answer to all of the the humans' prayers. Holy water, a purified beacon, and a few choice words are all that it takes to cure vampirism from the infected parties—whether they want it or not. Rolling back the clock in a single moment.
Literally rolling back the clock, that is to say. The Cure undoes more than just the vampirism, instead bringing the person to back to before they ever even met their Sire. Physically and mentally.
The fight might be bloodless, but it is no less a struggle to be faced with the people who did so much harm; now stripped of their crimes, their memories, and their entire lives. Can the humans of Oakhurst look into the clueless faces of Scott and Owen and find something innocent within? And can Scott and Owen live with the hundreds of years that they lost?

Summary
Louis was grateful about being a vampire for a lot of reasons.
First off, immortal life was pretty great. No diseases, no death haunting your step, nothing to really be scared about unless you are incredibly stupid, and Louis liked to think that he wasn’t. The strength was nice too, it helped him get out of a lot of situations, and of course the white hair was something Louis liked more than he would admit. It did suit him, but the red eyes were a hassle to hide.
But the thing he was the most grateful for when it came to his vampirism was the lack of blood and breathing, because otherwise Louis might have let out a strangled squeak as he noticed that Owen had fallen asleep in the chair beside him.

Summary
After Scott's mother passed away, he's hardly seen any other elves, let alone gotten to know them. While he cherishes the stories his parents told him about that half of his biology and culture, it is also notably lacking in breadth. This becomes overwhelmingly obvious as he begins to spend time with another elf. His ignorance is frankly impossible to ignore, and more than a little embarrassing. Especially when it's Graecie of all elves: proud and very open about her elf heritage.
Luckily, Graecie is also happy to take the young half-elf under her wing and teach him a thing or two about being an elf! Whether that be the different cultures, biological oddities of their species, or just proper etiquette, she'll make a real elf of the boy!
Scott may be a little in over his pointy-eared head.

Summary
Fledgling vampires cannot survive on their own.
Without a sire, a fledgling has no chance. They’ll never develop properly, slowly withering until they are nothing more than a shell of everything they should have been.
When an elder vampire roaming Oakhurst stumbles across an orphaned fledgling in the dirt, he has no intention of letting that happen, and takes the first member of his new coven back home.
Featuring a little bit of angst soon smothered in so much fluff and comfort and found family.

Summary
When Scott went to the trouble of finding a magic user to help him sustain his immortality, even against vampiric means of death, it seemed like a great idea. He wanted to live forever, and the magic made sure that a little stake of wood couldn't be the thing to do him in. Which was shown to be necessary, considering the attack on him that occurred soon thereafter.
Unfortunately, it seems that the upset masses scrounged themselves up a magic user too. No one so talented or skilled, of course. Only money can bring that. But the witch got their job done in a simpler way.
By enchanting the tomb they shoved him into to never open again.

Or: Scott was awake for the 600 years that he was locked in a tomb. No amount of vampirism or stubbornness can save him from the horrific effects of such sensory deprivation.

Summary
What if, even though Louis was burnt on that dreadful pyre, his spirit still remains? People think of vampires as unholy creatures, yet, does that make them devoid of spirit and soul? What if the founder of Oakhurst researched just that, and sends his blessing from the afterlife for a certain someone to wake up a person who they once lost? What if the books in the crypts do not only aid humans in times of need?
A lot of what-ifs, but they might just be the truth for once.(Basically, I wanted Louis to use his incredibly high charisma stats to use the power of friendship and diplomacy to stop everyone in Oakhurst from slaughtering each other, and putting Owen’s radical meltdown on hold for a moment. (Having his partner back certainly won’t “fix” him, that man has loads more issues due to discrimination, but it will HELP.))
