Summary
Pepper's parents have never been all that impressed with Tony. Certainly not with the way he throws money around anyway. The penthouse is stocked with food for a full week with them, but he knows they'll make snide remarks about how 'nice' it must be to be able to afford to eat out all the time, and to buy pre-made baked goods. It drives him insane, and also drives home the point that they don't think he's good enough for their daughter… as if he hasn't always felt that way all on his own. So Tony decides to bake cookies from scratch, just to show them that he can. Except, he burns them. Happy is out of town, and he has nowhere else to go, so he shows up at the Parker's apartment, where May laughs and tells him that she can't cook either.
OR
Peter and Tony figure things out together. Then Peter keeps calling all week needing help. Peter feels bad about intruding on their family time, but Tony makes it clear to him that he's Tony's number one priority. They're both having a terrible week, but they're there for each other every step of the way.

Summary
Part of the pardon deal granted to the Rogue Avengers is that they have to move back into the compound for six months. They aren't any happier about it than Tony seems to be. This is the first time they’ve actually been around Tony this much. Sure they’d gone on missions before they’d fallen out over the Accords, but they’d never lived together. Now all of their assumptions about him are being challenged and they’re getting their first good look at who Iron Man really is. One by one they start to realize that Tony needs to be part of the little family they’ve formed, and make it their mission to bring him into the fold.
OR
As the team rallies around Tony, they start to see positive changes in Tony's relationship with his intern Peter, and in other parts of Tony's life as well. We see Tony and Peter through the eyes of the newly returned Rogues.

It’s not usually a problem. Tony doesn’t usually have to work so hard to hide it because Pepper, Happy, and Rhodey know. He can be himself around them. Right after the compound had been built, Tony had been worried about moving in with the Avengers full time… worried they’d notice his tics and figure out his secret. Then Germany had happened and the team had split up before they could fully move into the compound. Tony had had two years where he hadn’t needed to worry about it. Now that the Rogues are back and are living in the tower full time, it’s on his mind again and stressing him out. The problem? Coffee mugs. Well… coffee mugs, and other things and the fact that when he’s stressed out, the tics get worse. But mainly coffee mugs. Coffee mugs are the bane of his existence.

Tony has Tourette Syndrome and he doesn’t want the Avengers (or Peter) to find out about it. The newly returned Avengers think Tony is just being a jerk when he knocks things off of tables and counters, because they think he’s doing it on purpose. Despite the angsty summary, this is all about the team coming back together and Tony learning that the people in his life can’t accept him as he is until given the chance to know him as he is.Series

Tony can handle stress. That doesn't mean he wants to. A little stress pushes him into his lab to work on projects. Mild stress makes him start to push back and resist. Total stress makes him shut down, utterly and completely. Before he gets to that point where he shuts down, 100 percent, all stop, do not pass go, he disappears. He packs up and leaves town and disappears for days or even weeks at a time, shutting down his cell phone and not responding to anyone or anything. Pepper does all she can to make sure that doesn't happen, but when Steve stresses Tony out and things are piling up at work, Tony takes off and he takes Peter with him.
