Sometimes Luka reminds her of a lamb. Everyone here does in a way, they’re bought to be slaughtered, bred to be eaten and born to be killed, but Luka is different.
Right now though, he looks less like a show lamb and more like one about to meet his sentencing. This isn’t the first time he’s picked a fight, and Hyuna knows it won’t be the last, but goddamn it Luka, why do you always pick the biggest students in the garden?
Hyuna protects Luka. All he ever wanted was for her to look at him.

Summary
Staring up at the adult before him, he thinks he can understand now, why the segyein call them replicas. Next to Luka, he is nothing but a shadow of the real deal, little more than a glimmer of light in the brilliance of a burning sun.
"Hello," he says, figuring he ought to say something. He tries to sound confident, but his voice comes out as little more than a quiet mumble, "I'm Prince."
He peers up at the adult curiously.
"Are you Luka?" He asks, "You're very pretty."
The adult doesn't move, nor does he respond, staring down at him as though he were something utterly horrifying.

Summary
He always cries at this part. If he were stronger, of mind body or heart, he might try to compose a piece to accompany this. Or simply sing along in harmony. The best he can manage is a weak hum.
Could things have turned out differently, if he’d heard this sooner? Were they truly so doomed that a song like this, which shone with such hope, could not have saved them?
Somehow, he doesn’t think so. The only world in which he would not have walked towards her would be one where he had some premonition, enough foresight to know how it all turned out. Only her death could have kept him apart from her when their paths crossed, and their vastly separate worlds collided. Nothing else. Nothing less.

Summary
It’s kindness, he thinks. Kindness that he’s offering as he asks the question. He doesn’t need to sleep, not really, but Hyuna does, and Luka knows she’ll only do it if he asks. For even if he’s the cause of her sleepless nights, he’s also the only one who can wrap around her like wool, make her shut her eyes, and grant her the sleep that’s been eluding Hyuna for days.
She nods like she’s only realising how sleepy she is as well, letting her head fall back against the tree with a thunk.
“Okay.” She breathes, and it sounds like defeat, even to Luka’s ears.
Luka wins, he thinks, the image in his head like the screen they display on ALIEN STAGE. There’s no tally mark cataloguing his win, but Hyuna’s loss is felt all the same. No matter what she does, she can’t escape him, just like she can’t escape the feeling of slumber, gentle and all-consuming as she falls asleep.After Hyunwoo things are different.
