Hermione is beginning her legal career as a junior counsel in the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures with her eye on making serious changes. Meanwhile, the entire department is a bit caught up in a strange, ongoing situation. You see, three years ago, the magic of the Malfoy estate went rogue and is now a feral enchanted forest. Worse yet, the young Malfoy heir seems to have bound himself to it.
What begins as a fight for magical creatures and wild lands becomes something far more complex: a confrontation with the tangled threads of their past, present, and future.

She was curious, because honestly, this felt like a match made by Professor Trelawney, and yet… It hadn’t been a bad date.How was this possible? They’d talked and laughed together, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy, who would’ve thought.
Hermione expected that Malfoy would snort and complain about the agency, or perhaps joke about the wrongness of it. Instead, she found his eyes on her.
Not the panic she’d seen in the blue eyes as soon as they saw each other, not the painful look he’d given her when she asked about the war. There was something else in the way he stared at her know, something that made her very aware of herself and yet very comfortable in her own skin.
“I don’t know.” He said, and his voice was slightly husky. “But I’d like to find out.”

A story that takes place partially in Hogwarts and then in the work life of Hermione and Draco because life always seems to bring them close. It is a post-war story, filled with sorrow and sadness, love and fire, longing and pining, sincerity and tenstion. How can one move on with the chains of the past still wrapped around them? How could one feel for someone who had pained them so much?

Summary
My version of season 2, written to rectify the travesty that was the end of season 1. It is roughly divided into different scenes to make up 8 episodes. I can guarantee there are happy endings – but for whom? And how convincing and satisfying are they?
As my attempt at a proper season, the plot doesn't focus exclusively on Sidlotte; the minor characters play a part too, though the focus is mainly on the central couple. But I hope both Sidney and Stringer lovers will find something to enjoy here; I felt both men deserved a proper love story. I love Mr Stringer too much to relegate him to being just an afterthought or a foil to Sidney. And, as the name of my story suggests, Alison is not purely a sidekick in this one. This may also relate to the point about Mr Stringer mentioned just above…
