Summary
Beneath his skin, something was boiling. Fingernails clung tightly to his outer shell— forearms, nape, scalp. The sensations bubbled and coiled, moving through his veins like viscous lava. They crackled, they popped, they simmered, and when he released a shaky breath, he swore he smelled smoke. When his eyelids grated, he felt granules of ash burn his eyes and cheeks. He rubbed his face furiously, wiping the sulfuric powder on his itching forearms.
It would’ve been easier to lie to himself and claim that his predicament was caused by an awfully-timed sink out. After all, dematerializing beheld a similar sense of static. But after rematerializing in his room, the sensations continued to pinprick, and he couldn’t bother with his usual routine of denial.
A volcano was brewing, and Logan did not know how far down the magma was. It was just spilling, and spilling, and spilling—
Or, Logan is a volcano, there is a significant increase in pressure, and he is about to explode.

Summary
Logan disliked being touched.
It had been known for years. They all knew it. Surprise hugs or claps on the shoulder startled him unpleasantly and even made him upset sometimes. Touching his hand to get his attention made him jump and frown. He himself had compared the experience to having a bug or an animal suddenly landing on him.
And so Roman and Patton learned not to touch him aside from the occasional celebratory high-five. Which was fine. Everyone was fine, and happy.
And then came Virgil. And accepting anxiety as a valuable part of Thomas. Which changed things.

Janus has dealt with his shedding alone for a while now, being accepted by the light sides shouldn't change anything.
The fact that the shed hasn't gone so well for a while shouldn't change anything either. And neither should the fact that this shed was coming on too fast and strong. He'd be fine alone.
Except... maybe he really would like help. And... ok, maybe he does need help.

Buckle in, gang. This one's gonna be rough. This is in no way connected to my other Sympathetic Deceit series, so any characterizations of OC Dark Sides that may or may not show up in this one absolutely do not act the same in my other story. That aside, This one is even darker than that one.
Deceit Sanders doesn't know what he is. He doesn't know what he's supposed to be. What he's supposed to do. But everyone else seems to want him to be the bad guy, so that's what he'll be. Or die trying.

Janus had always wondered what a true happy ending was. He kept hearing Roman say it, and he'd explained it serval times, but still, he didn't under what a 'Happy Ending' was. Maybe it's because he never got one.. unless?
