He brushed away some debris and crouched, staring into ConCorp. Staring into ConCorp again. What was he doing?

Summary
"Is - how are you doing this evening, Ambassador?" Scar asked, smiling, doing what he could to keep the worry from his voice. He really wanted to ask about the scars - make sure everything was okay, that Tubbo was safe - but he knew better than most that scars, especially in great numbers, rarely came from anything fun. He could just be trudging up a traumatic week with that question.
"I'm alright, sir, how are you?" The response was practiced, which they'd come to expect: a small smile and an even tone which gave no hint of what was going on inside Tubbo's head. It seemed a bit more stiff than usual, maybe. Maybe that was in Scar's head.
Or: In which Tubbo won't accept Doomsday as a good enough reason to miss his appointment on Hermitcraft and Scar notices something is wrong.

Scar blinks. Then, he blinks again. The little zombie pigman is still there after he blinks the third time, hugged to Tubbo's chest in a baby harness and tightly woven sweater looking awfully like a toddler who's upset to have been woken up from their nap. Tubbo's hand is on its hoof, rubbing small circles absentmindedly. It makes him look a bit silly, more like a child playing pretend than he normally does standing there in his ill fitting suit with a random mob playing the part of baby. All he’s missing is a briefcase; then he’d match the role to a T.
Or: In which Tubbo, ambassador to Hermitcraft, has to bring Michael along and there's a misunderstanding as to what role Michael fills in his life. Scar and Bdubs make up for it.

“Hello?” Pix yells into the echoing space, turning a slow circle. He scans every corner of the room for movement from the shadows. “Come out! I have a—” he fumbles for something out of his inventory “—I have a shovel!”
The rhythm of the clanging bells stutters for a beat, just long enough that Pix catches the sound of a muffled yelp.
“Ah, under the floor, are you?” Pix mutters, hurrying for the makeshift stairs by the northern wall. “Halt, villain!”
But what he finds in the basement of the museum is no villain at all.

I'm not usually a sci-fi person but oh BOY is this a really good series. Really good depiction of a language barrier and a natural progression of Tommy's recovery and relationships with the crew. Good amount of angst that's handled well AND really cool art of what the aliens look like!! Very fun and good would recommend.

Wasn't initially in love with the concept but quickly fell for it once I began reading. Absolutely LOVE protective Tommy and the dynamic he has with each member of SBI is SO fun. Also just the dramatic irony of knowing who Tommy is the whole time while others are oblivious is a real treat. Really nice balance of angst with satisfying payoff. Favorite in the series is "How to Fly with Clipped Wings" entirely because Tommy and Phil think they exist in different genres. It's great. You will agree! Read it!
