No one really gave Midoriya a second thought, but Hero was constantly on their mind. A masked Villain shows up one day calling himself Hero, and everyone hopes that he is all bark and no bite. That hope is destroyed when the league of villains attack UA.
Or the USJ incident if midoriya was a villain. followed by more frankly ridiculous plots and plans.

So quirks, 80% of the populace has them. those without quirks are discriminated against and our young protagonists are fighting the odds to become heroes.
not here.
here there are no heroes. Here people without powers are the majority. they fear those with otherworldly powers. The government takes advantage of it. Our protagonist are just trying to survive any way they can in a world that hates them. Things might have been okay if the government didn't start using those with powers as weapons and threatening ever so subtly those they swore to protect.
luckily the midoriya siblings have had enough and as two young kids without powers they set out to change it. The only question is will it be enough to succeed.

Summary
imaginary friends are great when your four, are weird when your 8 and downright insane when your 14. Izuku Midoriya has been hearing voices since he was suppose to get his quirk at 4. but he's "quirkless" and as such he can't tell anyone about what he can only assume are gods in his head telling him what to do, not that he would want to tell anyone when the voices say all sorts of things from, "you cute fluffy green bean i want to pat your hair." to "arson is the best therapy" and more then one of them have a vendetta against bakugou and don't ask him why he doesn't know.
but even with the craziness of his head and life he has dreams of becoming a hero, the only question is will the voices help, or do they have different plans for him?

There is no way that the explosive teen could be a hero, He has too much of a temper, too much of a history. All he wants is to win a fight the way All Might can. In the end they were right, Bakugou was a villain, and he was good at it, he ended hero careers through one means or another.
But then again that's the story the heroes tell, but Bakugou knows better, he's the hero of this story.
