Summary
“I forgive you,” Boromir says, just as grave as the captain before him, accepting his demotion to knighthood with far more grace than most would afford a too-bold babe. “An’ I dub you Sir ‘Rongil, so you must help protect nana. ‘Cos you’ve a real sword an’ can cut down real foes, until I have one, too, and can protect her better.”
So saying, he drives the point of the sword into the ground, and turns to face Finduilas, legs trembling a little with the effort to hold himself back from bouncing.
“No fear. No harm. Not while we’re here. So swear I.”
“So swear I,” Thorongil intones, after the fashion of the knights of old. Boromir turns back to him, taking both his hands to wrap them about the hilt of the toy sword, and for one selfish moment Finduilas is glad her son no longer faces her, that he might not see the tears spilling from her eyes.

Summary
Just one night. Just one night alone, unseen, unasked for, unneeded. Just one night, when no one needed him to be strong, or cheerful, no one needed him to be anything at all, that he might break apart in peace, and piece himself back together with none the wiser once his hands grew steady again. Make himself whole again, that he might be of use. For broken pieces left only mess, and he had to clean up the mess. He could not, would not let the dream come to pass.
Just one night. Surely it was not so gross a sin, to not be strong for just one night.
A tale of nightmares, grief, and late-night conversations.

Summary
“Haste still pays haste, and leisure answers leisure; like doth quit like, and measure still for measure.”
Shakespeare’s play leaves us with several unresolved conflicts, such as Vincentio proposing marriage to Isabella (does she accept it or not?), Claudio dealing with the aftermath of his near-death experience, Angelo losing his title, etc. We, as readers, may well be prone to questioning precisely what the outcomes are. This work is our take on each of the conflicts.

Summary
"He always slept flat on his back, hands hidden beneath the heavy quilt. Like a corpse, she had thought more than once, and couldn’t have said why the thought discomfited her."
John is plagued by nightmares. Esther notices. Something like an understanding is reached.

Summary
"There was no one keeping track anymore. No one to count the years and months and days he’d lost to wandering the fog. Trying to find Seamie. Trying to find himself in Seamie, the bits of his self that Seamie had taken with him. Because Seamie wasn’t here. But he wasn’t anywhere else, either. And Tadhg couldn’t be if Seamie wasn’t."

Summary
“Martin… You’re not, uh…” Jon rubs a self-conscious hand over the back of his neck, naturally unsure about the proper way to broach the subject of one’s possible death. “You didn’t die here, did you?”
Martin swallows. “I… did, actually?” He says, his brows shooting up with an apologetic smile. He sounds as though he thinks he’s done something wrong somehow by dying.
Jon can see dead people. Martin is haunting his new flat.
Well. They're gonna have to make it work, somehow.Bookmarked by Masked_Man_2

Summary
Martin doesn't do well with yelling.
It makes him freeze, sets his spine alight with a buzzing that he just can’t seem to be rid of. Even after the voices have quieted and there are no more bullets hanging in the air, it runs through him like an aftershock. Something about it always feels like a dam breaking, water flooding over him and swallowing him whole, drowning him completely.
He doesn’t do well with it, at all.
Hatred, he can manage just fine - that mundane, muted disdain.
Being looked at with contempt feels like home. Hell, so long as it doesn’t get loud, it even feels comfortable.
Maybe that’s part of why he…likes Jon so much.(An examination of Martin's feelings on love and what one must do to deserve it)

Summary
Martin couldn’t remember exactly when or why he’d joined the Knights of the Lonely. He supposed that was by design.
Knights of the Lonely weren’t meant to last long. They were built to take blows, and, if necessary, they were built to die. He supposed that suited him fine.
But upon an assignment to escort the Watcher’s betrothed to the Kingdom of Beholding, Martin began to realize that, perhaps, there was something he was missing. Perhaps it was in the shape of a person with bright, intelligent eyes and acerbic wit, with prickly edges and a gentle smile when he thought no one was looking.
There was only one problem. He wasn’t meant to let the Watcher’s betrothed reach the kingdom alive.
