Summary
Regulus Black has two obsessions.
1) Hating his older brother’s best friend, James Potter. Has Regulus met the man before now? No. But he has deemed James Potter his mortal enemy since he was ten years old.
2) A certain voice actor by the pseudonym Jay, who makes “spicy” audios.
Regulus has always known the universe to have a sick sense of humour but he didn’t know it was this cruel. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. To Regulus’s shock and abject horror, James Potter is Jay, there’s no doubt about it.

Sirius poured them both a shot. “To another great show.”
“To our weird fucking life,” Remus replied.
He then dragged Remus into the throng of the crowd. There were a lot of congratulations from men in business suits proclaiming how ‘I always knew you would be a hit,’ and ‘here’s my number if you need anything,’ and ‘I can’t wait to see what you’re working on next.’
Therein laid Remus’ primary problem - everyone and their mother was expecting something phenomenal for this next album and Remus hadn’t written anything new in months.

James stares at his best friend in disbelief, because what?
“Look, if you go on a date with Regulus, I can go out on my Moony date. My parents will realise that their stupid idea of cursing me with only getting to date once Regulus does didn’t work out because look at that, Regulus also dates! They reverse the magic, Regulus can happily go back to refusing to date anyone, I can go back happily dating Remus, and you can happily go back doing whatever you had planned to do this summer. Quidditch, I assume.”

Summary
Barty wanted to say hello, but his voice was nowhere to be found. He quickly grabbed the bottle of tequila on the table beside him, downed a good three shots for confidence, and approached Evan. The second he moved, Evan looked up and saw him. Barty felt self-conscious suddenly, as Evan’s eyes trailed over his bare skin. He hoped Evan liked it, he certainly liked Evan’s costume.
"You came! And you came in a great costume!" Barty pulled Evan into a hug, who was still looking at Barty with an open mouth, an indiscernible look on his face. "You look…" Evan leaned into the hug, bare skin on bare skin where he held Barty’s waist, it burned, but that could have been the tequila, "...incredible."
That was all Barty had wanted to hear, and the tequila was kicking in because his confidence was up. He had gotten Evan to come to a frat party. Evan who had never been to one despite years of pestering. This was a night to celebrate. "Let's get a drink."

Barty doesn’t think anything of it at first. Dorcas always tells him how obsessive, possessive, and impulsive he is, and though she never means it as a compliment, Barty always takes it as one. It’s just the way he is.
So Barty doesn’t think anything of it when he impulsively climbs into Evan’s bed, possessively wraps an arm around him, and obsessively asks, “You love me, right?”

Summary
They remained silent, Eddie listening to the storm raging on outside while ignoring the one brewing in his head, Buck listening to his favorite sound, Eddie only managing to keep his heartbeat steady because of Buck’s reassuring weight pressed against him.
The lightning came in several flashes, Eddie counting with each bolt, not releasing Buck’s ear until he could count more than ten seconds between, knowing the storm was fading away. He only wished he could say the same for the one raging on inside of him.
Unlike the rain that would eventually wash away, Eddie wished he could stay.

Eddie repositioned in his crouch, reading the words across Buck’s back, the one his boyfriend was completely oblivious to, Eddie having wrapped it around him only hours ago, slowly buttoning it around his front; if you asked Eddie, it was a miracle the buttons still held.
He watched as Buck’s cleats dug into the dirt floor, the man grounding himself. The crowd around them was buzzing, the stadium bigger than Eddie remembered from their new position.
Unable to help himself, Eddie reached a hand up, tapping Buck’s ass with a few fingers. Buck turned to him in an instant, blue meeting brown. It was in that moment that Eddie heard his resounding yes.

Summary
“Where are the ducks?”
Eddie took himself out of his head once more, looking down to his son and following the boy’s line of sight. He was looking at Buck’s jeep, Eddie letting out a weighted sigh for it.
All of his coworkers had been welcoming, accepting Eddie right into their little family. Well, all of them except one that was. Buck had made it clear from day one that he didn’t want anything to do with Eddie, for whatever reason. It was fine with Eddie, really. Evan Buckley had no lasting effects on him.
“What ducks are you talking about bud?”
Chris looked up to him, all but rolling his eyes.
“Dad, every jeep has ducks.” He might has well have added a ‘duh’ at the end, Eddie holding his hands up in mock defense for not knowing such things. Why the fuck would jeeps have ducks?
Chris, with all the exasperation a seven-year-old could muster, looked up to him once more. “Look it up dad. It’s a thing.”
While Eddie wasn’t convinced, he assured Chris he would.

Buck doesn’t have any ducks for his jeep. Eddie decides to fix that. AKA 5 times Eddie secretly leaves ducks for Buck, and the one time he hands one right to him.

Eddie’s eyes widened with a bit of fear. What the hell had Athena gotten him into?
“Um, how about you tell me about your ducks first…what kind are they?”
Buck deadpanned. “Rubber.”
Eddie shook his head, trying to hide his surprise as he pulled out of the parking lot.
Buck let out a cackle, startling Eddie a little.
“You didn’t think I was talking about live duck’s did you?”
Buck said it like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world, as if any of their conversation had been semi normal.
“No, I guess I’m just—confused is all,” was what Eddie settled with.
Buck shook his head as he tapped at his clipboard.“You’ve never heard of Jeep ducking?”
Eddie shook his head as he turned on his blinker.
“Can’t say that I have.”—or—
The 1 time Buck gets held at gunpoint and robbed of his ducks, and the 6 times Eddie replaces them. Eddie’s a cop, bucks a firefighter, there’s rubber ducks, what more can I say?
