It felt morbid, dwelling on the death of his body when in many ways, Charles felt like his existence after death was infinitely better than it was in life. Yeah, he couldn’t eat and he hadn’t had a proper kiss since 1988, but he got to spend every day investigating mysteries with his best mate.
Still, they visited sometimes. Not on a schedule or anything, but if they found themselves in the area they might stop by. This was the first time they’d bright the girls though.
