Summary
Jaskier, while travelling to meet Geralt after wintering at Oxenfurt, comes across a town in Kaedwen who's Count is terrorising the women of the town. Without Geralt to simply stare the man into submission, Jaskier himself does a little research into the town's lore of a murdered Acolyte of Melitele who placed a curse upon the town years ago after she died to the hands of the Count's grandfather. With the Count's father's passing, the last of her warnings have passed on but Jaskier thinks this Count ought to have a reminder of his families past.

“You’re scared,” Jaskier murmurs. Geralt considers denying it, considers looking away. But he doesn’t have to be a witcher here, brave and stubborn and carved from stone. He can just be a man, trembling in the face of something new.
“Yeah,” he says.
“Oh, my heart.”
Jaskier dips his head and presses a kiss into the join of Geralt’s shoulder.
“I haven’t felt like this since…since the night before the trials,” Geralt admits. Jaskier’s fingers skim over his back, gentle, so very gentle. “I know what it’s like to be made anew.”
“Not like this,” Jaskier whispers. “This isn’t going to mold you into another kind of weapon. It’s just going to make you into…into you.”
Or: Jaskier is a god. Geralt is on the verge of becoming one.

The two old wooden posts might have been easy to overlook in the ruins of Kaer Morhen’s lower courtyard. The castle grounds were filled with half-collapsed buildings, rotting scaffolding, crumbling stone walls and charred wooden structures whose original purpose was almost impossible to discern. The two posts were hardly unique amidst the rubble.

Summary
The wolf school is the last school of witchers to create a formal bond with a region of the world, not particularly caring to play those games, but they also needed to survive. Vesemir arranges a mating contract between Geralt and Julian Pankratz of Lettenhove.
Geralt knows that as the alpha of their pack he has to do this, but he is terrified of the marriage, worried about the omega who is going to be saddled with the butcher, the monster the continent fears.
He dreads the wedding, and all his fears feel like they are coming true when he meets this Julian who is completely detached and cold. But not all is as it seems and when they arrive home at Kaer Morhen for winter, everything changes.
And sometimes when we face our worst fears, we get instead our sweetest dreams.
