Summary
Stan Pines has made many mistakes in his life, and maybe agreeing to medical testing in Nevada wasn't the best idea, but he could never have foreseen the consequences. Hell, those consequences only existed in dumb sci-fi movies and comic books. But he can keep a handle on this and keep himself hidden. As long as he doesn't slip up when he answers that postcard his brother sent him from Oregon.

Summary
After a disastrous first day with the twins, Stan swears to do better as an uncle. But fate loves playing tricks on him and the magic 8-ball in the attic is more than it seems.
Now on top of having a pair of twelve year olds around the house while he tries to finish the portal and bring his brother home, Stan has to deal with being back in his seventeen year old body! Summer has never been weirder in Gravity Falls.

My take on the Mystery Trio AU! (I am not great at summaries so bear with me.)
"It was the 80's, Dipper"
Timeline is moved up a couple notches: Stan (still broke, love starved, and wanting to make up with his estranged brother) arrives in GF in late November vs February(?). Fiddleford hasn't lost his (entire) mind yet, so that's a plus! (But is he good at hiding his trauma or is Ford just oblivious?) Ford is...going through it (and doing a bad job at covering it up).
Many things change, but many things stay the same (sorry in advance).

Summary
In the 30 years Stan Pines spent trying to pull his twin brother back from interdimensional limbo, he never expected to end up on the other side of it. Especially not with his overly anxious, paranoid great-nephew in tow — barely able to stand looking in his direction most days.
Or, Stan and Dipper get sucked through the portal after the events of NWHS and Mabel and Ford are left scrambling to return what was lost.

Summary
The kids fall through the portal, and Stanley chases after them. He will not lose them the way he lost his brother.
Refusing to repeat the mistake of 30 years ago, the family becomes stranded in the multiverse, stuck without a clear path home. Stan's got his brother back, at least, but Stanford isn't the same as Stan remembers. Looks the same, sure, talks the same, absolutely - but he's got a 'professional working relationship' with Bill Cipher that Stan'd really rather not interrogate, and seems to have changed his whole vibe from Virgin Loser, to Space Cowboy Wizard; Which isn't all that different, now that Stan thinks about it.
Stan and Ford must now find a way to kill Bill, get the family back to Earth, and try to keep the ghosts of their past from tearing them apart. Again. Same boat, different planks, and neither one can deal with their own reflection in the water.
Well, whatever. They can handle this.

Summary
Stan didn’t know what he expected. Just a larger version of the kid he had known in high school, really. Sure they were identical, but Stan hadn’t been the person who looked like his brother in a long time. New scars, constant stubble, greasy mullet, dirty clothes, couple new teeth…He wasn’t exactly his best self. Ford seemed to be doing just fine, last he heard, what with his fancy house up in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, so he had assumed that he would be more…stable.
He noted his shaking hands, the relentless pacing he had picked up, back and forth through the room like a caged animal. He took in the unshaved face, the sunken eyes with dark shadows so deep they may as well be bruises. He looked pale and skinny, like he hadn’t been eating enough. Still, Ford stared ahead, hands clutching a book he had picked up during his rambles, eyes flicking back and forth like he was reading the blank air.
What was this guy so afraid of way out here?
In which there's slightly more communication when Stan first comes to Gravity Falls, and it makes all the difference.
