For as long as Charles had ever been able to remember his favourite colour had been blue.
Blue had been the first colour he could ever remember seeing - his mother’s eyes. His father’s had been brown and sorrowful but his mothers had been sharp and cold. The same shade of blue you’d associate with an icicle. At such a young age, he hadn’t had the words to express how they made him feel. Perhaps even now he still would not have the capability. Maybe intrigue or maybe fear - but to a child those are not so different.

If anyone asked why Charles, come rain, wind or shine, made the significant trek during his dismal lunch hour to dine at "Edie's Kosher Delicatessen", he would stubbornly say that it was because their pastrami on rye and potato knishes were absolutely to die for. He wasn't completely lying, because the deli's namesake, Edie Lehnsherr, made the best matzah ball soup Charles has ever had in his life. Still, Charles would rather shave his full head of hair off than admit that the real reason he would willingly walk through hail and fire to get to the corner deli was because of Erik, the insanely attractive man working the counter.
Sure, Erik has barely spoken two words to Charles other than "Hello, what can I get you?" or, after the third day in a row that Charles came to the deli, "Welcome back, what can I get you?", but Charles was more than happy to just ogle at the man from afar while devouring the juicy wurst Erik had put together with his (large and very capable) hands.
But, little does Charles know, Erik doesn't usually work the front counter. He only does it when he knows the cute blue-eyed man will be dining in.

Summary
Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr are famous on campus. Or infamous, really. Their heated rivalry is well known amongst both the staff and students of their university, and it was a common occurrence to see the two of them duking it out all over campus.
When the university tells them to either play nice or say goodbye to their degrees, Charles and Erik decide to give them exactly what they asked for, and more.
So, instead of screaming insults at each other across campus, they shout bad pick-up lines at each other instead – something that everyone decides is infinitely worse.

Charles had braced himself for the pain. He knew that when Erik would push the coin through Shaw's head that he would inadvertently push it into his. He knew that he would feel the slow, torturous drag of metal through his skin, his brain tissue, his mind. He had even prepared for the heartbreak and the betrayal, because once Erik had put on Shaw's helmet, Charles's heart had already shattered to pieces.
But when Charles's mind was fractured by the coin, he hadn't been prepared to lose a part of himself he could not bear to live without.
Because without a mind he had no telepathy, and without telepathy, Charles was...
Human.
Or: Charles loses his telepathy after Cuba, and all the pain that follows.

Summary

As Dean is thrown into the world of the Krushnic mafia, he finds himself getting closer than ever to Castiel Krushnic himself. The Alpha seems to harbor a strange soft spot for Dean, one that grows more obvious and more confusing by the day. Suddenly, Dean has to wonder why the kindest person in his life is a mafia boss, and why said mafia boss is so dead-set on taking care of him.
It’ll take a very stubborn person to convince Dean he deserves that. It’s lucky Castiel Krushnic is a very stubborn man.
