“If I die, you have to get my body out of here,” the man pleaded, but Grace had to go. His oxygen was out. The guy would be dead in six minutes. “You have to get me out, even if I’m dead. Hey!”
“Just hold on!” Grace propelled himself through zero gravity, away from the radio.
“Don’t leave me here-!” The roar echoed through the ship halls.

Ryland Grace and Rocky arrived at Erid almost 7 months ago, and Grace is far more lonely than he expected to be. Rocky is worried for him, but nothing can make up for the lack of human connection.
A group of Eridians patrolling space discover an odd looking ship, labeled SM-13, passing their planet, and discover a human inside. A man.
This man doesn’t know how he got here, only that the last he remembered, he was in a blood ocean facing certain death.
Grace must break a traumatized man out of his shell, while also working through his own repressed trauma.
Or: Two touch starved men must communicate their needs, work through their trauma, and build a domestic life on an alien planet.

Summary
Ash survives, but he doesn’t stay. He disappears without a word, choosing distance because it feels safer. Still, he keeps thinking about Japan more than he wants to, as if something is slowly pulling him there.
Back in Japan, Eiji tries to move forward, but nothing really feels the same anymore. He goes through the motions and slowly returns to what he used to love, even when it still hurts.
Neither of them fully lets go. Ash keeps his distance and watches from afar, while Eiji is left with a feeling he cannot explain. Like something, or someone, is still there.
As their lives begin to overlap again in small, quiet ways, avoiding each other becomes harder. And the closer they get, the more everything they tried to leave behind starts to catch up with them.

Sometimes a person is connected to another through their dreams. They don’t always end up meeting in the waking world, but when they do the relationships vary greatly: some formed romantic bonds, some formed platonic bonds, and some would try to kill each other. Some people have claimed that they’re connected to someone from a different time, be they someone from the far future or a famous historical figure.
Ryland wasn’t sure he believed those claims. The person he was connected to clearly did, but Ryland was pretty sure he was making everything up. After all, Simon also claimed that all of the stars and planets were gone, which was just impossible.

Whatever happened here was bad. Irrevocably, inexplicably, inarticulably bad in a way that the most basal parts of his being wants nothing more than to escape from. But Grace can't turn away.
After encountering what appears to be a last hoo-ra emergency mission attempt from Earth caught up in the Hail Mary's wake, Grace and Rocky discover a single, severely injured human being quite literally encased in what Grace can only describe as a crime scene. A horror movie. And when he wakes up? He's mad. Really mad. Talking to the walls mad. Now they have to figure out just where he came from and why. Things are further complicated when all the newcomer (Simon, they learn) can talk about is missing planets, haunted oceans, and non-existent space stations. That and the really weird data they've been picking up on.
Maybe part of solving that is, much to Rocky's enthusiasm; both Grace and Simon slowly realizing how lonely they are.Series
