Summary
Dogs were once wolves. Transformed over time by heavy Hylian hands, domestication blunted their fangs and soothed their wild nature. They became docile, and unwilling to speak out. Wild wasn't a dog, but that didn't mean the metaphor affected him any less. After a lifetime of servitude and silence, it was only natural that his sharp edges had been smoothed, his spirit dimmed.
Eight other heroes won't change his life so quick, but they can certainly nudge him in the right direction.
Or, another chain meets Wild fic, but Wild is much less 'wild'.

There was one goal with today’s trip to Castle Town: pick up some groceries for Malon from the market.
Twilight was determined that they were going to do this swiftly, efficiently, and without distraction. They were not going to commit any crimes, start any fires, or, most importantly, lose anyone while they were at it. They were not going to spend a cent over what was necessary, they were going to tarry as few minutes there as they were able, and they were not going to take a single step beyond their pre-planned path to the farmer’s vegetable table, to the cheese maker, to the bakers, to the pastry, and then back home again.
The rest of the heroes, apparently, took Twilight’s resolve as a challenge

Twilight hums, walking around them to approach the Loftwing again. It coos in greeting, but does not attempt to smother Twilight like it did with Legend. Twilight frowns in confusion, looking at Sky and Legend, back to the Loftwing, and then at Sky and Legend again. Sky mumbles something under his breath, no doubt puzzling over the actions of his Loftwing. Twilight catches Legend’s eye, blinks, then smirks.
“That’s weird. We’ll probably never know,” Twilight says, not taking his eyes off of Legend.
That son of a fucking bitch…
“Well, we can’t just sit here on this island all day,” Legend states, glaring at Twilight. Don’t say a fucking word, wolf boy.
Sky, once again oblivious, turns to face everyone else. “I can fly to Skyloft and see about getting some help in bringing everyone over.”
“Maybe you should take Legend with you,” Time suggests from Legend’s side—wait when did he get there? “Get a head start?”

As she should have expected, Scout scoffed, in disbelief that anyone would think he was ignorant about anything. "Please!" he said with a flippant wave of his hand. "'Course I know. They're those chicks from Lebanville."
"Lebanon," she corrected, mentally kicking herself for correcting him on that.
"Yeah, yeah." Scout rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Same thing."
Miss Pauling is literally incapable of returning Scout's feelings.
Scout cannot comprehend this fact.
Spy finds himself somehow trapped in this nightmarish and idiotic situation that is far, far above his pay grade.
OR: Scout learns what a lesbian is, and reacts just about as you would expect.
