Tommy will never forget how he froze and watched the dark green goo Phil coughed up as he fell to the floor before Techno could reach him. The glass shattering from the kitchen followed and the panic as Techno pressed a hand against their fathers neck to check the pulse.
Bump, bump, bump.
The relief that crashed through the house when it was still there. Like nature itself exhaled in relief.
Or; as a new disease infects the world, Tommy, a plant hybrid, has to find a way to cope with the fact that his family is running out of time and that he will be left alone once it passes.

To find your soulmate you had to be vulnerable, showcasing your pain and injuries to the world so your soulmate can match the flowers on their skin to your bruises. It was almost a little cruel, one soulmate getting hurt only for the other to get beautiful flowers traced on their skin.
“What are you doing?” Wilbur hadn’t meant for his words to sound sharp.
“Waiting for you to be ready,” Techno shrugged like it was nothing.
Techno was waiting, waiting for Wilbur. Just like he always did. Waiting with a hand outstretched, ready for Wilbur to take but not making a move to grab his hand. It was up to Wilbur, the choice of trust.
Wilbur nodded, “I’m ready,” determined to not back out this time, “be gentle, please,” he added as an afterthought.
“Always.”

Everyone had a different definition for the smell of home. Many said it smelt like a home cooked meal, others defined it as perhaps the scent of their favourite candle. A lot of them liked to say that it smelt like their favourite person's laundry detergent.
The last one was what Wilbur thought home smelt like. Up until recently he was convinced that nothing would ever be as comforting as that.

Pino was quite literally Rody Soul's soul, when he was happy she was happy. When he was sad she was sad. His emotions showed on her more often than they showed on himself.

The boots clunking against the ground and sword being pulled from their sheaths. Fire cracking and burning the wood of all the tree and making them collapse.
"The war outside keeps raging on," he rubbed his hand in circular motions along Tommy's back to distract him (what could distract his brother from death looming right outside their door?).
"Hold on to this lullaby, even when the musics gone, gone." Wilbur brought Tommy in closer.
His arrow wound was bleeding again, the stitching came undone.
He couldn't heal Tommy anymore.
