Summary
Jason don’t have a lot to his name, he can freely admit. Not even a last name, least of all a middle one, to introduce himself with. But he does know he has this: the inexplicable thing ingrained in his muscles, which has him calculating the distance from his spot behind the cash register to where the other two are locked in a standoff near the aisles. The reflexive decision that has him planting a palm on the counter, an anchor so he can soundlessly jump over it. And he executes the move nearly without a thought: don’t let your feet touch the ground, slam to the wannabe-mugger’s back, wrestle the gun away, and knock ‘em unconscious.
Jason's memory starts at sixteen years old, in a small Gotham bookstore where he has since spent his whole life in. That is, until someone tries to rob one of his customers.

Summary
He opens his door to find Damian Wayne standing there with two swords in both his hands, visibly fuming. This would probably be more intimidating if the squirt weren’t at eye level with the middle of his autopsy scar and dressed like a walking traffic light.
“Hello, Red Hood,” Damian grits out between his teeth.
“Sup, Robin,” Jason says. “I just got done making mujaddara. You want some?”
Damian stands still as a statue for exactly ten seconds, his grip on his swords knuckle-white. Then he very firmly nods.
—
Or: Jason really wants to get revenge, on like, everyone, but he keeps postponing his plans because Damian Wayne insists on stalking him. Somehow, the angry chihuahua child worms his way into Jason’s undead heart. This is not a drill.

Summary
Jason Todd is back from the dead and out to enact vengeance on those who've betrayed him. But not using some grand plan that involves freeing the fucking Joker. That would be stupid.
No, he's playing the long game. He's going to systematically rip every fucking thing that Bruce has ever loved from him one by one. And then he's going to spit on Batman's grave.Series

Summary
Bruce Wayne has another failed communication ritual crossed off the list, two exes in town, an intrepid reporter from Metropolis he can't shake, and three people missing down by Pier 19. It's going to be a rough few weeks.
For Bruce Wayne Week 2023; Magic User Bruce.
Bruce started with the Gazette, scanning quickly through the headlines and flipping through the pages. Buried below the fold on the fourth page was a crime report of a possible haunting or kelpie incursion down near the docks. The Arts & Society section was advertising the debut of what sounded like a cursed opal making its way to the Gem Collection Hall at the Gotham Museum of Natural History. He would need to take care of those both soon.

Summary
"I would never be mad at you for this," Bruce tells him clearly, leaving no room for misunderstanding, blue eyes sharp and clear as they meet Jason's steadily, "I think you know this Jason, deep down. You know I would never blame you for any of this."
Jason's heart is tight, "I'm —"
Bruce places both hands on his shoulders, "Don't apologise. Just breathe with me."
Jason takes a deep breath in, matching Bruce's unshakeable calmness. It's the first time in a long time that Jason feels like he can actually breathe.
(Jason survives Ethiopia and returns home; this is the beginning.)

Summary
It is relief that washes off of Bruce in great waves of uncertainty. Talia relishes in it all, dipping her feet into this new sea of understanding he's letting her in on. She wonders if he even realises that she knows, that deep down;
Batman is glad the Joker is dead. Batman is even more pleased that it was not him who killed the Joker.
The air between them smells like vindication.
Talia smiles to herself, "I didn't do it for you."
(Talia al Ghul kills the Joker. This manages to solve a lot of problems.)

During her time as Robin, the 2nd Robin was always a cautionary tale. During her time as Spoiler, Red Hood was a ghost story at the periphery of the Bats. It's not until they're both in Star City for college that Stephanie Brown finally meets Jason Todd.

Summary
Jason didn’t even remember getting dressed. One moment, he was grabbing his backpack; the next, he was sprinting halfway across campus, sliding into the back row of his 8 AM lecture, barely even winded.
Then his classmate gave him a look. Then two classmates did. Then three.
Then someone muttered, “Dude, if you’re gonna cosplay Red Hood, at least carry the helmet. Coward.”
Jason blinked.
He looked down.
There was a red bat across his chest.
Oh no.
In which Jason goes viral after accidentally showing up to class in his Red Hood gear. Dick tries to make it better. Tim might have made it worse. The rest of his siblings are just enjoying the memes.

Summary
“We don’t have to—I didn’t want to make it a thing,” Jason said, then immediately rolled his eyes. “Okay, maybe I did want to make it a little bit of a thing. Father’s Day gift and all.”
“This is . . . more than a gift,” Bruce said thickly.
“Yeah, well. You’re hard to shop for, old man. Can’t exactly get you socks.”
In which Jason gives Bruce his Father’s Day gift early. So he can get ahead of the competition, of course.
