In hindsight, a lot of Seto's behavior will make a lot more sense to Mokuba when viewed through the lens of "he is a time traveler who is in love with an ancient pharaoh who will show up, but hasn't yet". Mokuba doesn't have that context in the beginning, though, and it takes him a bit to figure it out.

On an early morning, Kaiba Seto pushes Kaiba Gozaburo out the window to his untimely demise, in a move that was richly deserved but Mokuba never really saw Seto as doing, before hiring a random fellow high schooler as his secretary. Things only spiral from there, really.

"Because it's Toudou," Nishimiya points out with an aggrieved noise. "Who doesn't want to see what happens?"
OR,
Toudou is sent into a frenzy at the thought of Itadori having ANOTHER best friend. Until he realizes... that's not Fushiguro is. Like, at all.
What's worse? Fushiguro being Itadori's best friend? Or Fushiguro being Itadori's type?

Because even Itadori himself can’t take care of it, can’t hold onto it for the life of him because he’d rather become the vessel to the most wretched of all curses just to help two people he’s only known for a few months—to help Fushiguro, who he’d only met that night.

Maybe Sukuna’s definition of ruin wasn’t all that wrong from what Fushiguro wanted after all. Maybe that did make him just as wretched.
