Ophelia Carter is both an aspiring artist (ignoring the fact that most of her commissions are to paint overweight pets) and a cleaner for the rich and the powerful. It is through this that she meets one Mycroft Holmes, who has a ‘minor role in the British Government’, of which Ophelia thinks is bullshit. The thing is, Ophelia kind of gets the impression that beyond the icy exterior, he is only slightly possessive, rude and terrifying.
Also, she has a sneaking suspicion that she should not find him as amusing as she does. People are starting to think she’s mad.
A trail of murders from the last two years lead, eventually, to Ophelia, and thank God for the fact she cleans Mister British Government's house, otherwise she would be so screwed.

Bilbo doesn't know who or what brought him back, and he doesn't care. This is a chance to change the fate of those he cares most about. Even if he was to wait fifty years to do it.
In the 'Before', he was Silvertongue, Barrel Rider, Ring-Bearer, and the Baggins of Bag End. He will need to become so much more if he plans on saving anyone from their fate; higher powers and destiny be damned.

This is an amazing spin on The Hobbit. If you like the idea of Bilbo remembering but not quite things from his past life, go for this. It's completely different yet completely new, as if the Vala themselves had rewritten the story for us. Written cinematically with just the right strain of realism, and even the dialouge echoes of Tolkien. I recommend it highly

“I…” She took a deep breath. “Am okay.” She stood up on shaky legs, tilting her head in confusion as she took in the scene in front of her.
“There is a boy,” El whispered. “His clothes are…odd.”
“A boy?” Max repeated.
Eleven nodded, watching as the boy pushed himself up. His clothing sparkled in the streaks of light that came through, a mix of red, black, and gold that came together in a pattern she had never seen before.
“There is a spider on them.”

Probably my favorite fan fiction I have ever read, Vikrant_Utekar captures the character of The X-Men movies perfectly. Keeping the central characters perfectly in line with canon, while also adding a unique twist to the atmosphere, this author manages to capture the unique movie world and build on it like a literary genius expanding upon the world of X-Men. My only hope is that one day this author will write a book.

The most in-character Charles Xavier I have ever read, this talented writer captures Patrick Stewarts preformance with gratifyingly perfect dialogue. My other favorite comfort story, this writing is spot on and reads like a movie, sucking you in until you finish it. Thank you, Mikkeneko.

Peter is dark, tired, and stressed. Tony is RDJ Tony, outwardly selfish and arrogant, but inwardly selfless to the core. The prodigal son returns in this fiction; it does have a happy ending, but there are lots of bumps and near-death experiences along the way. Reads like watching a movie. I highly recommend it.

One of the darkest fanfictions I have ever read. The author has used words to capture despair, hopelessness, suicide, and the horrible reality of being violated and handed them to the reader for the reader to hold. I finished reading this feeling sick. Good but dark.
