Summary

“Alright,” Sam replied. He smiled, looking so much more easy going than he used to. “What about?”
Tommy bit the inside of his cheek. “If you were solely in charge of imprisoning the most dangerous man in the country, what would you do?”
Sam’s smile slid off of his face, and his brows scrunched up in concentration. “That’s a hard one,” he admitted. “I’d probably do everything within my power to make sure he didn’t escape. If he’s the most dangerous.”
“Yeah,” Tommy said hollowly. “I guess you would.”
Or, after Dream kills Tommy after he escapes prison, Tommy finds himself in a modern universe, fostered by sbi.

or, the quiet, sleepy town of l'manberg gets rattled when a new lead turns up on the most prolific unsolved case of its history in the form of a dead body. washed-out detective and l'manberg native wilbur soot is forced to work with a new detective from a rival department in order to solve it. as the case starts to spiral into something more dangerous and personal than any of them realize, truths come to light, friendships are made and broken, and no one is left unscathed.
