Shinobu’s sister Kanae is getting married. A great thing, Shinobu will be the maid of honor, she’s excited for her sister. However she has one slight problem; Kanae wants her to bring her boyfriend of 2 years to finally meet him. How is that a problem? Well Shinobu does not have a boyfriend of two years because she lied about getting one two years ago to stop her sister from meddling into her love life and now it has really come to bite her in the ass. Not willing to let go of the lie, she’s desperate.
After a chance encounter the two desperate singles find themselves a solution to their problems.

Fall Out Girl is dead. That's how this story begins. The band fizzled out for various reasons in the 2000s. Pat and Pete broke up - it was messy. Pete has a kid and is divorced, and so does Jo, but she isn't. Their music suddenly goes viral online, and everyone is asking what happened to Fall Out Girl. Now, they, with the help of their manager, are getting the band back together years later. It's told in interviews because I read Daisy Jones and the Six and liked the idea but didn't like the actual book. This story is about the power of female friendship, making amends, and confronting the awful sexism and other terrible isms so prevalent during the 2000s. It's also about rock music because I really love rock music.
This is based on real events. But not all of it, so read with discretion. Don't take most of this as things that really happened; some are, some are not, but there's a lot of female trauma (trademark) in here too. Because I gender-bent it for a reason, and women have to move through the world differently. I don't think I've ever written anything that wasn't an examination of myself in some way, so it's a bit of that too. Obviously no hate to any of the real people mentioned in this fic.

Whilst observing the world around him, crashing and burning, Tommy slowly realises life is not as simple as he once thought.
And he'll have to do a lot more than kill some bad guys to fix it.
