“Techno—”
“Close them.” And Tommy knew, from some fuzzy part of his brain, that Techno was terrifying when he was angry, so he did as he was told, squeezing his eyes shut even though there was already a hand over them. “Good,” said Techno, still holding him tightly by the shoulders. “Now repeat after me.”
“Techno, what was—”
“I do not recognize the bodies in the water,” said Techno firmly, his hands gripping Tommy’s shoulders tighter. “Say it.”

Technoblade was a Piglin.
Philza knew this; it's doubtful that anyone else knows this. Afterall, Piglin can't survive in the Overworld. It's something to do with the sun, the air, the world itself, that makes them rot and become something... disturbing.
Although, Techno apparently never got the memo.
Neither did Ranboo.
Or; Phil has lived with Techno for a long, long time, and has become more than accustomed to his Piglin tendencies and characteristics, as he's the only one Techno trusts and subconsciously considers him to be a part of his sounder. But Ranboo is new, and although Phil understands what is going on as Techno begins to trust him, Ranboo sure as hell doesn't.

Summary
Throughout their time in Hypixel, Ranboo didn't interact with other people very much. Enderman instincts were so easy to embrace, and casual conversation didn’t happen often when they were fighting with strangers. So when one of their only friends insisted they join a SMP to “learn social skills”, Ranboo’s first reaction was no. Their fifth reaction was “I’ll go get the nice mask.”
Turns out everyone has an opinion and it was hard to learn humans customs. But at least some people want to learn the Enderman ones.Or what if Ranboo was a little more badass, a little more masked, but still very socially awkward. Here’s what people think about that.

Summary
Phil knew water hurt endermen, and it only made sense that it hurt Ranboo as well. But when someone tired Ranboo down and forced water into his eyes, over and over and over again, well, neither Phil nor Techno were prepared for the repercussions.
aka, Some guy tortures Ranboo by dripping water into his eyes way too much, which causes him to go blind.
tw: Torture (it's not too graphic, but just in case), screaming, crying, panic attacks, slight mentions of blood., and in the second chapter Ranboo has a flashback of his father touching him without consent, if you are sensitive to any of these either click off or be careful reading this fic! Your mental health is more important than fanfiction!

Techno gets these episodes were he needs to protect someone. It’s usually Phil who has to deal with the overprotective piglin hybrid. But Phil’s gone for the day and the voices shout at him. Shout at him to protect. And so he turns to Ranboo. He didn’t mean to wake the poor boy up so early in the morning. But he was his friend. Someone Techno knew deserved protection.
And now Ranboo is stuck with a overprotective Techno. The thing is, he didn’t even know it was happening. He just thought they were having breakfast.

How was this the second time he returned home after battle to discover an injured teenage boy waiting for him, seeking assistance with nowhere to go? And how badly had that ended last time, in nothing but betrayal and insults?
