“I have to go to church on Wednesday.”
Eddie pauses with a fry halfway to his mouth and dripping in ketchup, and glances over the table at him. “On Wednesday?” he repeats. “For what?”
Chris shrugs one shoulder. “There’s a-a healing service.”
Eddie slowly sets the fry back down on his tray as Christopher takes a bite of his burger. “Healing service,” Eddie says. He’s trying not to jump to conclusions— really, he is, both because he wants to give his parents the benefit of the doubt and because if this is going where he thinks it’s going, he might actually lose his mind.
“Yeah,” Christopher says. “It might be a good idea.”

“But you’re Emrys,” Merlin reminded the imposter with a sigh “You don’t remember siring any dragons?”
“I said it was an off day!” The man complained, trying to cross his arms despite being upside down. Merlin took a long breath. Lancelot had already walked away, but that did nothing to hide his howling laughter.

Alexis breaks up with Mutt (or maybe Mutt breaks up with Alexis, according to David, though he divulged this theory to Stevie quietly and then appeared to feel sort of guilty about it afterward, complimenting Alexis’ choice of bejeweled headband when she walked by them several minutes later), and becomes a fixture in the motel’s lobby.
The first time she swans in, settling on the sofa only briefly before hopping to her feet again to pepper Stevie with questions about what she does when she's alone, and how she feels about spending her time by herself, and why. She leaves shortly after, and Stevie assumes it’s a one-time thing, a blip in their respective routines. Alexis is the member of the Rose family who spends the least amount of time at the motel, and Stevie has no reason to expect that to change.
