Summary
Ganondorf is a young but seemingly stalwart King, whose duties are pulled every day between his prying but well-meaning people and Hyrule's thinly-veiled self-serving bureaucracy. How he finds himself enlisted on a feral, unspeaking Hylian's quest to reclaim some sort of trinket from the Bokoblins is anyone's guess.
Suppose the Gerudo King had the foresight to know Link's identity from the start; perhaps then he wouldn't have been quite so enamoured with him. Perhaps navigating winning his Hylian voe's heart wouldn't have been quite so bloody frustrating.

The beast dies on the grassy plains, leaking ichor into the dirt. It stinks powerfully of death, as though the very end of all things has been distilled down into one being that’s been left to rot in this fallow field.
