Morgana uses a spell to make Emrys de-age so that she can kill Arthur/revenge on Camelot with no one in her way. Arthur and the Knights cuff her with bands made from the dragon's own chains to suppress her magic. They try to get an answer out of her as to how to 'age' Merlin back, but there isn't one. Baby Merlin uses magic and Arthur panics, not so much as to why or how he has it, but the fact that it puts him in danger. As Merlin grows, Arthur realizes he must take him in as his ward. (Hunith died earlier) There are three neighboring kingdoms ready to take over Camelot and to stop them Arthur forms an alliance with Mithian's through marriage. He is distraught about not being able to marry Gwen out of love, still, she goes on to marry Lancelot. Mithian gets pregnant and has a son named Amr. Merlin has a nightmare about being executed for sorcery and Arthur assures him he doesn't hate him. Arthur reads books on magic and druids throughout all of this and in the end finally tells Merlin he no longer has to worry because he is going to repeal the ban on magic.

Uther angst. Sad ending. Morgana uses a spell in order for the timeline to repeat over and over giving her a second chance to defeat Uther in the beginning. Uther is accidentally affected too instead of Morgana herself. He must learn what to change and do correctly to fix the mistakes he makes in each new time. However, no matter what he does, eventually one of his children will turn on him. In the last one he manages to win over Morgana by revealing all his secrets (cheating on his wife, Morgana being his daughter, the reality of Arthur's birth). He listens and puts faith into her and she learns that he truly loves her. Yet, in addition this means he begins to neglect Arthur. When Arthur discovers how his mother died he is distraught and leaves Camelot with Merlin. Either way, one of his children will fall away. Nevertheless, this all becomes obsolete because Morgause wasn't able to gain Morgana on her side, so she finally restores the original timeline. No one would remember what had happened in this one.

Or, Merlin dies in the most mundane way while saving Arthur's life, and the rest of them are left to pick up the pieces. It ends happily, I swear.

Kyulds is a figure who comes to Morgana during the events of 5x13 and tells her she can get her revenge on Merlin by going back in time and killing him near the beginning. We later discover that Kyulds is a future version of the evil parts that make up Merlin. He tries to kill himself with excalibur to make his suffering end, yet it only makes the situation worse by mutilating his immortal body and the reason he comes back to life is because destiny permits it. However, he learns if he can have Morgana commit the act of stabbing his past self with the sword it would seal his fate and he'd be put out of his misery. She has changed and grown to care for past Merlin despite her mistakes. When she refuses to go through with it Kyulds simply states that he'll just kill her instead to reset the timeline like he's done so many times before and attempt once more to convince her to kill Merlin. He's been looping this over and over until eventually Morgana can complete this task.

Their bodies are all 'unconcious' but their souls can see everything Merlin goes through. He is forced to go on a journey to defeat a giant spider-like creature and steal the eggs that will bring them back.
