Starfleet and the Federation have collapsed after a decades-long war, and everyone who was off-planet at the time is effectively stranded with no way home. Planets that were once connected by the Federation are now connected only by a black market smuggling economy, and a bare-bones system of good samaritans who help people get back to their homes, although not everyone in this network can be trusted. A story about multiple ships, countless trips across the galaxy, and, somewhere along the way, a captain and his crew.

Summary
Aboard Galdor's warship, Glorfindel returns in triumph from a dangerous expedition deep into enemy territory. He has found Elrond's missing son, but all is not well: the Elf-child that was abducted by the Corsairs of Umbar is now a Man grown. War and darkness have left Elrohir deeply scarred, and he is not the mission's only casualty.
An alternate universe for the Under Strange Stars series, in which Elrohir goes with Glorfindel instead of running away from him after the events of Under Strange Stars. This story covers the events of ‘Northern Skies’, but it can be enjoyed without having read the original.

The crunch of ice behind Erestor made him sigh. He knew without turning that Glorfindel would be standing at the top of the hill, feet just denting the crusted ice that had formed over the heavy snow that had fallen during the winter storm. It wasn't fair. Erestor wasn't the one who humiliated himself in front of a host of noble elves from around Arda in the Hall of Fire. No, that award went to Glorfindel, who thought, in his drunken stupor, to tell them all of Erestor's letter where he had confessed his feelings to the great blond oaf. The lovely little letter had become the topic of multiple rounds of poetry, much to Erestor's horror. Even Bilbo tried to stop it, and the old hobbit loved to meddle in love affairs.

A story that tries to be a little like an episode if episodes had all the time in the world to deal with everything that happens in detail. Some humor, some angst, some rescues, some Johnny h/c (because really, aren’t we all here for the Johnny owies?) and a whole lot of family and friendship. It's completed, and I'll be posting a chapter a week, maybe even two a week if real life allows.
Contains descriptions of injuries, medical treatment, and non-canon character deaths, including that of a child.
