Still, no matter how close they grow, he can't shake the feeling of his unlikely companion keeping some secret from him.

Stanford Pines was a man who rarely showed weakness. Years of inter dimensional travel and watching his friends and comrades die proved that weakness would only get him killed.
Even now, having just escaped from Bills torture, he was determined not to show weakness. He would hide his injuries from his family and shut them out, no matter how badly they begged to be let in. He just wanted to keep them safe and oblivious to what Bill was truly capable of.
Too bad Bill wasn’t so willing to let his plaything get what he wants.
OR
What if Ford was able to escape from Bill while being tortured during weirdmageddon? How would the Pines react when they find out what Bill did to him?

And do you think that's enough? You know, 50% of marriages end in divorce. Maybe it's because you're just not giving enough, it's too basic, too superficial.
Maybe the better question is: how much of yourself would you give to someone you love? your time? your patience? your heart? your body? your blood? your actual heart? maybe your flesh?
Do you think you can be addicted to somebody? addicted to their body, their mind, completely and utterly consumed by your love. Your body drenched in sin as gluttony consumes you both.
And after you finish your plate and go in for seconds, how long will that keep them satisfied? When do you stop?
Would you still take that bullet for them when they're the ones pulling the trigger?

In the turmoil, no one noticed the deafening smack overboard, masked by the roar of an engine and a machine-gun burst.
“Damn!” - thought Senku, finding himself in the cold water. Too distracted by his worst fears, he didn't have time to grab onto anything when Ryusui abruptly added speed.
Climbing out of the water, Senku quickly tried to take cover in the grass thickets. It wasn't exactly inconspicuous, but he hoped that in the heat of the chase the adversary wouldn't notice the slight rippling of the coastal grasses.
The sound of the engine could still be heard echoing in the distance, but no machine gun fire could be heard.
That meant either that the attackers had fallen behind and lost sight of them, or...
...they switched to another target.
It was quiet, but he knew where this could be going.
And if he wasn't going to lose his life right this moment, then that meant the enemy needed a very specific thing.
Information. From their point of view, he had nothing more valuable than that.
If that's true, he's not gonna die that easily. At least not right away.
However...
- Freeze.
Well, Gen had always said his luck was low.
