Summary
Wen Kexing swallows meat that is only a little charred, and does not scream. It is terrifying to not know what Zhou Zishu might have seen. What Wen Kexing might have said and done. He cannot remember. Not accurately. Not nearly accurately enough.
Could a simple kiss have earned him this soft, indulgent, complicated expression? Zhou Zishu is studying him again, and aside from the tension between them that has ever so slightly changed, the reddened mouth that might as well be from the meat, nothing indicates that he has just spent his time kissing Wen Kexing.
Wen Kexing feels despair rise in him like a wave. This—this is killing him.

“Stupid,” Zhou Zishu breaths out. He is panting; they both are. They are both stripped of outer layers of their clothing, hair dripping with water, smelling like the lake, and sweat, and blood. A shadow of something passes through Zhou Zishu’s face, disappears. He returns Wen Kexing’s gaze steadily, not displeased, not quite amused. Watching him. Wen Kexing is suddenly very aware of every place where their bodies are and are not touching.
“Ah,” he says slowly, delighting in the attention. He shifts his weight forward, puts his hands on both sides of Zhou Zishu’s head, brings their faces closer. “I caught you.”

Zhen Yan closed his mouth, looking up trustingly.
They couldn’t be that far apart in age, but A-Yan had yet to hit his growth spurt. A new shidi. While Siji Pavilion had many unranked disciples, several of whom were far older than Zishu, as the First Disciple, everyone had to address him as shixiong. The situation had always felt laughable to Zishu, even now—how could he have people who were twice his age address him respectfully as ‘shixiong’? With A-Yan, it wasn’t so odd. Looking down at A-Yan’s soft round face, Zishu swore quietly to protect him forever.

Finally after what feels like several minutes (but was likely closer to 10 mortifying seconds) the first knuckle of your index finger grazes something hard. You practically lunge for it, grasping it tightly before you can lose track of it again. The sudden movement causes Hikaru's entire body to tense up and you're sure you feel drool start to seep into the fabric over the shoulder of your other arm.
("It's the weekend," he'd said. "Who wears a backpack on the weekend?" Like he's some kind of expert on what's socially acceptable... but at the end of the day, you suppose you're just as much of an idiot for listening to him.)

Jim catches wind of a strange NPC that hangs out in the IDIC tavern in ShiKahr. Everyone thinks it's defective, but Jim thinks it might be a secret event and talks to him. He's strange, and he's kind of cute in a weird way. Starfleet starts getting wind that the game might be controlled by people not of Earth origin, and they begin to question the creators' motives. Will Jim choose Starfleet, a faction he had sworn his life and loyalty too, or a man he had never even met face to face?
