Preface
I'd never given much thought to how I would die. However, the little I did think of it, it was not in the way I am about to die now. Honestly, with how much bad luck I tend to have, I figured it would be more along the lines of a toilet seat falling from the sky and ending me. You know, Dead Like Me style. The way I am about to die now, though, is really not such a bad way to go. Definitely better than I would have expected, since I am about to die for someone I love, which is comforting. It should not be much of a shock, that I'm about to be unceremoniously snuffed out, considering how my life has been these past few months. Even though I know I would not be staring death in the face now, had I not come to Forks, I still can never regret making the move to that depressingly dreary place. As I look into the eyes of the hunter, gracefully and calmly stepping forward to end me, only one thought comes to mind... Alice, I love you.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

I’m sure you can power through these four weeks.” She gets up and leans on the back of her chair, getting closer to Adora’s face. “Just don’t fuck it up and we’ll be fine.”
Adora scowls at her and forces herself to not start another argument. Catra ignores it and turns away.
“See ya later, girlfriend.” She says over her shoulder.
Girlfriend. Adora shudders at that word.
Only after Catra is gone Adora remembers they didn’t even plan anything out. She closes her eyes and rubs her temples again, taking another deep breath. Four weeks of pretending to be Catra’s girlfriend. Those are about to be the longest weeks of her life.
