Jason feels hands on his palm, soft and warm. Gripping tight, squeezing. Then hands shifting to his legs, bigger ones by his ankle as if holding him down.
“Just hold on, okay?” Jason tries to look at the kid, tries being the keyword. He needs to tell him it’s okay, he’s so brave. That he is doing so good. He needs to tell him he’s sorry and it won’t be his fault. He is so sorry for this and it would never be his fault. Out of focus, he hears the orbs move around and suddenly felt a cold, precise pressure against his side. At first he just hissed and squirmed and hands, both on his palms and his legs, tightened their hold. Then a whirring sound. And then, white-hot burning pain.

Jason crosses his arms and looks away from Roy, glaring at a hole in the wall. “Whatever. What the fuck ever. Why are you even here. I told you we were done.”
Roy hops over the edge of the couch to take a seat, ignoring Jason’s noise of protest. “Yeah, you sure did. Pretty unilaterally, I might add.” He leans an elbow on the dusty cushion as he looks back up at Jason. “You know, normally when you dump someone, there are two lanes of communication.”
“What,” Jason says flatly. Roy casts a lazy look back towards the kitchen. Jason stands with his hands hanging loosely by his sides, looking oddly stricken. “That’s not–-no. We weren’t even–-” He swallows, hard, and turns back towards the cupboard.
Roy watches him, the tension ratcheting up in his shoulders, the red flushing through his neck, and thinks: Bingo.

Roy Harper decides he will not be broken up with so easily. Especially by a guy he was never technically dating. Jason Todd takes it very well.

Jason’s body is killing him. It’s been pouring outside all day, which has every joint in his miserable body creaking like he’s the fucking Tin Man. He and Babs have been standing (or sitting, in Barbara’s case) in line for barely an hour, and already Jason wishes he hadn’t left the apartment today. Pain shoots through his legs and hips no matter how much he fidgets and shifts his weight. His back prickles with pins and needles. And don’t even get him started on his neck, which is so sore he can hardly turn his head without wincing.
In hindsight, he probably should have brought the cane. Not that he'll ever admit that to Roy; the guy would never let him live it down.

Roy’s skin was interrupted at the hinge of his hip, by a dent-like, long scar which folded the muscle inwards. There was another on the side of his flank, just under the crest of his hipbone. And another—over the front of Roy’s left knee.
“Take a picture, Jason,” Roy’s trademark grin cracked across his face. “It’ll last longer.”

Jason’s head finally snapped up, blood freezing after realizing who that voice belonged to. Like a rubber band, his senses snapped back as the Pit retreated, irritated but satisfied for the time being (and that thought alone made him want to throw up). He turned around slowly, fearing the worst.
It wasn’t the complete worst, but it was still enough to shake him up a little.
OR, Jason and Tim are in the middle of busting a child trafficking ring and Jason basically loses it (in a good way)
Red Robin stood behind him, one hand clutching his bo while the other was raised, his domino mask not hiding the shock on his face. Behind him were the kids, who looked even more terrified than they were before, huddling next to his little brother and hiding behind his cape. But the little girl that yelled out to him was standing in front of him, eyes watching him tearfully and clutching a stuffed animal.
And then, reality finally hit him.
