"How do you feel, Tweek?" Laura asked, reaching out to brush back Tweek's unruly hair and cup his cheek. He leaned into her cool palm, siphoning out the comfort she provided like a whale greedy for air after breaking the surface of an unruly ocean.
"Fine," he flinched, head jolting towards his shoulder, and the word came out rushed and jumbled. He sometimes sounded like he was perpetually gargling nails and hot sauce, and though his mother had tried to school a more delicate diction into him it never seemed to work.
"That's all?" Craig said, setting the expectation for Tweek to have some sort of complaint. He wasn't used to that sort of thing, his parents had instilled a very particular communication set into him which included a dishonesty around himself, and that had gone so deep he's since lost the ability to understand what inside of him is a problem that needs to be addressed. He supposed that was probably a problem that needed to be addressed-- but whenever he brought up his parents to the Tucker's, their faces got sad and he felt guilt gnaw at his stomach.

Without warning, Kyle reached forward and brushed back Stan's fringe, replacing the hair with the back of his pale hand. It was ice against Stan's skin, doubly more than the usual temperature difference between them. Vampires typically ran colder and werewolves warmer, and they often found conflict sharing blankets at night due to this biological fact.
“You feel warm,” Kyle stated, his brows pinching with concern.
“Don’t I always?” Stan brushed off, “y’know, cause you’re basically stone.”
“I- well- yes, but you look cold,” tenderly, Kyle allowed his fingers to brush along Stan’s jawline, before finding root on his chin to position his head at different angles for examination.

Stan gets sick while touring with Crimson Dawn, fortunately for him, Kyle is there.

He certainly felt drunk, at the very least. The tips of his fingers felt light, buzzing as if they were placed atop a vibrating surface rather than a dingy couch backstage at some low-end venue. Nausea, a common drunken sensation, similarly resided in his body, settled over him like a low fog. The walls and clutter of the room seemed to twist and turn and flop and flip, further adding to the intoxicated-like sensation. Honestly, Stan wouldn't be surprised if he had somehow broken his 12-week sobriety and completely forgotten about it. It didn't seem entirely plausible, considering a relapse tends to be hard to forget, but what else could it be?

He was sure they loved him and his siblings— often when she got drunk their mom would hold them all and sob about not being good enough for them— they just weren’t really physically there. Or mentally. But it was really the thought that counted. Maybe they had just entered parenthood too young and were unprepared. Well, regardless, Kenny knew he was on his own. Even now as he lay curled on his left side, hugging his knees to his chest and praying to every conceivable higher being that he wasn’t sick. He was on his own.
Kenny takes care of himself. It’s not a new thing, it just is. He just sometimes wishes it wasn’t.
